Macro Trends 2020-2030

We outline 12 macrotrends set to shape the 2020s. These represent major shifts in the demographic, environmental, economic, technological, political and cultural landscapes that can be foreseen with a relatively high degree of certainty, though their implications are often more uncertain or ambiguous. We then focus in on a subset of the macrotrends to explore this ambiguity and suggest how the global business community might seek to influence the way these trends play out in order to accelerate progress on Vision 2050. Crucially, too, all the macrotrends are interconnected: how they interact with one another is central to how the next decade will play out. We explore some of these interconnections briefly in the introduction to each landscape.

Macrotrends emerging over the next decade:

DEMOGRAPHICS
1. GENERATIONAL HANDOVER Political, economic, cultural & innovation power is shifting.
2. POPULATION GROWTH IN ASIA & AFRICA Sustaining geopolitical shifts and straining scarce resources. ENVIRONMENT
3. WORSENING CLIMATE IMPACTS More frequent and more severe weather becomes harder to ignore.
4. LOCAL POLLUTION, DEGRADATION & SCARCITY CREATE IMPETUS FOR INNOVATION Loss, suffering, instability, displacement & innovation.

ECONOMY
5. SHORT-TERM CRISIS, LONG-TERM SLOWDOWN Under-investment, low productivity, weak demand and COVID-19.
6. PEAK GLOBALIZATION & THE RISE OF ASIA Rival blocs form as economic and political power pivots.

TECHNOLOGY
7. AUTOMATION IMPACTS EVERY INDUSTRY & COUNTRY Automation changes lives, industries and economies.
8. DATAFICATION, FOR BETTER & WORSE Smarter, more efficient, more surveilled – massive efficiency and productivity gains come at a price.

POLITICS
9. POLARIZATION & RADICALISM ON THE RISE High levels of dissatisfaction create appetite for radical alternatives
10. GEOPOLITICAL INSTABILITY Weakened multilateralism and nations in decline – the incentives for stability slowly fade away.

CULTURE
11. POST-MATERIALISM: ATTITUDES AND LIFESTYLES DIVERGE Changing aspirations are helping on-demand service models to spread globally.
12. CULTURE WARS ESCALATE Cultural clashes (youngold, rural-urban, rich-poor) contribute to polarization.

We propose 10 “wildcard” disruptions that could plausibly materialize during the 2020s, resulting in significant impact. Indeed some of them already have, with impacts still snowballing. However, the wildcards are not all negative – they simply have the potential to significant disrupt the landscape that business operates in. The macrotrends and disruptions are deliberately not presented as risks and opportunities. Every risk contains the seed of an opportunity within it – and every opportunity the seed of a new risk. What matters is how we respond to and influence the dynamics of the world around us.

Potential “wild card” Disruptions
  1. FINANCIAL CRISIS How much will COVID19 cost, and how will we pay when the next crisis comes?
  2. GLOBAL PANDEMIC No country is fully prepared to handle a pandemic, and neither are any economies.
  3. MAJOR CONFLICT Cyber attacks, e.g. on critical infrastructure will touch all ordinary citizens in a conflict.
  4. AN ECONOMIC “SINGULARITY” What happens when new jobs can’t be created where jobs have been destroyed?
  5. POPULAR REVOLTS & REGIME CHANGE Inequality will continue to rise making more frequent and severe protest likely.
  6. A CLIMATE “MINSKY MOMENT” Costs, disclosures, social pressures all reorient financial flows – but how fast?
  7. ENERGY TRANSITION TIPPING POINT Market forces lead to fossil fuel demand peaking and the energy transition accelerates.
  8. BIOTECH BOOM Disruption comes to food, health and materials as biotech’s potential emerges.
  9. GLOBAL GREEN (NEW) DEAL Citizens embrace the chance to improve jobs, communities and environments.
  10. SOCIETAL “TECHLASH” Society sours on the costs of free tech, treasuries tire of lost taxes and competition.

Back Porch Written Reflections

Americans are different from the rest of the world because we live in a Democratic Society with a Democratic Republic form of governments that values FREEDOMS above all else except for maybe GREED and MONEY.

Many people on the LEFT SIDE of our freedom fence are saying that ALL WHITES are bad, evil, and OPPRESS all other races and ethnic groups, especially BLACKS and that this practice MUST STOP,

Many people on the RIGHT SIDE of our freedom fence are saying that we value of freedom, especially our freedom of speech that allows the LEFT to say whatever it is that they want to say.

These two views are so different that we are tearing ourselves apart because of our DIVISION; and, while that concerns me a little, what concerns me more is that our global enemies will take advantage of that divide.

While there are BAD PLAYERS in America on both sides of our Freedom Fence, we should be more concerned about the following:

  1. Our quality of education or the lack thereof
  2. The care we give our disabled veterans
  3. A growing economy with less than 3% inflation
  4. An economy that has close to FULL EMPLOYMENT
  5. A strong global military presence
  6. An open immigration program
  7. Equalizing the salary/wage scales
  8. Keeping all taxes as low as possible
  9. Reducing to the point of eliminating debt
  10. Ending our dependence on illegal drugs
  11. Becoming and maintaining energy independence
  12. Having politicians everyone can trust again
  13. Having leaders everyone can trust again
  14. Having managers everyone can trust again
  15. Having supervisors everyone can trust again

A Complete Life

At 73 years of age and easily looking down the road and seeing the end of my journey, it is confidentially easy for someone like me to look back on their life and state with complete certainty that my life has been complete...

Obviously, I was raised WHITE which to many blacks is a sign of automatic privilege but that was not the case with me, although, I was raised to have solid religious beliefs and a propensity towards the Democratic Party as it relates to the general public.

But, outside of being WHITE all my life, I graduated high school as well as college and graduate school and spent a few years in the military.  I have been married twice, owned all my homes, achieved a debt free status and maintained it, travel throughout Europe and the Caribbean, as well as the US, Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, and Canada.

I am the father of exceptional daughter who would be exceptional even if I was not her father.  I have experienced the pain of two dying parents and have owned several vehicles, stereo equipment, electronics, and home theater systems.

I am a survivor of two still on-going cancers (Melanoma and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma) and have also survived a lethal heart attack because I had kept my body healthy earlier.  No other internal organ damage done as a result of over 12 years of chemo, radiation, surgery, chemo, and immunotherapies.

I have had the mental determination and ability to stop smoking without any other aids, loose weight, and complete a 45 year career reporting pseudo intellectual assholes who by the grace of God had superior positions to my own and could therefore direct me according to their imbecilic plans.

Rather astoundingly, I have managed to actually save enough squirreled away monies to pay the living expenses of our current lifestyles for my wife and I to extend out lives to 95+ plus years should the occasion arise for us to live that long.

All my life, I have maintain the desire to have either cats or dogs live in my house with me, although have pleasantly discovered that cats are easier to take care of than dogs, but in some cases, are not as friendly as dogs or perhaps as stupid in some cases.

I have never been wealthy and never really wanted to be wealthy although I have fantasized about wealth and what all it could do for me, but even if I was in possession of wealth, I doubt that I would change my current lifestyle, except maybe fly first class more often.

I don't play golf and never wanted to and while I was an avid JOCK in high school and college have very little desire to watch, attend, or follow professional or college athletics.  Therefore, all the sports channels on CABLE are irrelevant to me.

My brother and sister and I do not get along and as my brother has told me who is 8 years younger than me, we have nothing in common; although, I believe our parents, if they were still alive, would disagree with him.  The 3 of us have different lifestyles that do not mess when together and the reality of any family reunion results in not have much to share with each other, especially since I am the only cancer/heart attack victim in the family.

If I were to die today, would I have wished for a more complete life than the one I have had...   I don't think so...  but then again, we don't know for sure how that will be until we get there, do we?

Americans and Politics

Most Americans...  and, I use that word liberally...  don't give a rat's ass about politics...  that is to say that they are either liberal or conservative but they do not let the opposing party's leadership negatively influence their day-to-days lives...  They work and play regardless of what party is in power and regardless of immigration and regardless of taxes or the cost of living...

Most Americans simply try to do the best they can, given their opportunities and limitations and don't piss and moan if things do not go their way...  like a lot of these BLACKS are doing...

Most Americans are white (60% of the population) but they do not think their lives have been based or predicated upon WHITE PRIVILEGE...  although, they do believe that the WEALTHY WHITES have been living a life based upon or predicated upon white privilege...  but, there is really nothing that they can do about it...  so they just GO WITH THE FLOW...

Personally...  I really don't give a shit about the wealthy whites or black lives matter or cancel culture, the WOKE Mob, the tearing down of Confederate Statues, Slavery, or the Defunding of the police...  in fact, I hope the police are reduced or re-indoctrinated or restructured...  BUT what I cannot tolerate is TAX INCREASES...

If illegal immigrants move into my location, I will simply ignore them as I have always done...  My retired life will continue regardless of what happens here...  if America changes...  then, it frigging changes...  Life goes on for me...

Monday, April 19

INCREASE THE SIZE OF THE SUPREME COURT...

MAKE WASHINGTON DC A STATE...

MAKE PUERTO RICO A STATE...

END THE FILABUSTER...

ALLOW ALL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS IN...

CENSOR CONSERVATIVE VOICES...

DEFUND THE POLICE...

IF YOU ARE WHITE YOU ARE A RACIST...

WHITE PRIVILEGE MUST END...

This is no longer the country in which I was born and I really don't recognize her anymore...  These changes will not really impact me that much since I am retired and really do not have to play these games anymore...  and, as long as the Stock Market continues to grow, my retirement income will grow as well...  If the Stock Market stops growing and declines, I have money in straight saving accounts and can simply use that money as is needed and there is enough money to pay my wife's and my expenses until we are both 95 years of age...  What could impact us negatively is INFLATION and if that happens we will just have to reduce our expenses as we have already done and can continue to do...

Governmental changes will not really impact us...  but, they will impact YOU...  and your future unless you do something about it.  If you decide to ignore, then down the road you will pay the price...  and, down the road, I will be dead and will not care...

Approaching Conclusions

🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

As we begin this week, we are also approaching the end of another month...  the month of February...  and, the reason why that is important, at least to me, is the fact that once the month of February has passed, cold weather in East TN is all but gone; in fact, according to a forecast for the month of March, weather in East TN will ONLY IN THE MID TO UPPER 50'S AND LOWER 60'S...

While this may not be important to others...  it is important to me because the older I get the less I enjoy cold weather.  And, the interesting part here is that while I cannot stay out in the sunlight because of health concerns, warm weather (even in the shade) is preferable to cold weather in a heated house.

As we approach the conclusion of the month of February, my age has put me in the category where I was able to get the first of two COVID VACCINE shots at my local health department.  My second one is a couple of weeks away and my vaccine is the Moderna Vaccine which has a good reliability factor.

However, that does not mean that I will stop wearing my face mask in public because I believe face masks and limited capacity at restaurants is now part of our future and is here to stay...  especially in doctor's offices, hospitals, and many public places were people congregate in numbers...  and, not just to prevent variations of COVID from spreading but to prevent all sorts of flu type viruses from spreading.

As we approach the beginning of a new Presidential Administration, we have an opportunity to explore the following:
  • Distribution of COVID Vaccines
  • Deal with potential increases in immigration
  • Deal with increases in taxes
  • Deal with the end of oil and gas as energy sources
  • Deal with an increase in our national debt
  • Deal with China as an economic and military adversary
  • Deal with an increase in terrorism
  • Deal with defunded police departments
  • Deal with the effects/affects of going GREEN
As the approach the beginning of a new political era/climate and the conclusion of the old political climate, I constantly remind myself that I am RETIRED and whatever happens in the United States, actually impacts my life very little...

Weh Yuh Ah Seh

...Back to back,
belly to belly
I don't give a damn,
I done dead already
Oh-ho, back to back, belly to belly
At the Zombie Jamboree
I hear you talking
Back to back,
belly to belly
Don't give a damn, done dead already
Oh-ho, back to back, belly to belly
At the Zombie Jamboree...
sung by Harry Belafonte

I think parts of this song lyrics strike a chord with me (no pun intended) and those words be:

I Don't Give A Damn

I don't give a damn about
  • politicians: Democrats or Republicans
  •  illegal immigrants
  • abortions: late term or otherwise
  • firearms or owning one
  • Global Warming
  • bitcoin or cyber currency
  • any Social Media
  • the mainstream media
  • the national debt increasing
  • if North Korea goes nuclear
  • any Banana Republics
  • Black Rap Music Lyrics
  • if Biden raises my taxes
  • Medicare for All
  • free college educations
  • if China has the biggest military in the world
  • if China has the biggest economy based up PPP GDP
  • reality TV
  • we defund police departments
  • if BLACKS try to rewrite our Constitution or receive reparation
  • if our conservative voices are muted
  • if the USA leads the world in the purchase/consumption of illegal drugs
  • if whites are still being blamed for slavery
  • the wealthy or the poor or even the middle class
  • professional athletes:  basketball, baseball, football, and golf
  • that both my parents have passed away
  • that my sister and brother want little to do with me
  • that my faith keeps getting stronger the older I live
  • if atheists have their heads up their asses
  • if and when cancer takes my life

BUT... what I do care about
 is my
FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS

Earth to Earth and Other Places

When I was just a boy who was just a little rebellious, I chanced upon other lads who were in similar situations and we set about doing things that in our youth we should not do like borrowing cars to impress the older girls and breaking into homes just to see other places and before we finished having fun, we took a small boat out on the Potomac for a lark.

It was these fun times that landed me in jail but my parents broke me free when my father became a Diplomat and we moved overseas.  Unlike other places we could have gone, my father decided on Cairo, Egypt because it is the least likely place to have more fun.  So, instead of doing what I used to do, I learned quite quickly that Egypt had the best HASH in the land...  and, with a steady stream of alcohol us teenagers now had a new kind of fun that interestingly evolved into sexual fun and without precautions, we had no idea of the risks that we were taking until a pregnancy occurred and then the females imposed a moratorium.

With 3 years of college and 2 years in the military, I returned to the hallowed halls of academia and pursued my parent's dream of my education.  It was much easier then, since I was older, and hardly ever had to study just attend class and learn to listen.  Grad school was just a few years down the road and soon I was armed for bear which is not such a clever metaphor.

I paid little attention to politics but in case anyone asked I was a Democrat...  just because my parents were too I suppose but they were also more liberal than the stuffed-shirts Republicans who referred to themselves as just being conservative.  I was no conservative and had never been and planned not to be one forever, if that was even possible since forever is such a long, long time.

I hated gun rights because I did not like the violence of the Vietnam War that used guns and other weapons instead of talking...  and, while I did not give a rat's ass if a female had an abortion, I strongly agreed that it was her choice and not the government's.  In fact, I was against the government trying to control my life at all and formed an on paper company just to shelter money to lower my taxes.

A funny thing happened to me on my way (not to the Forum) to old age and that was I lost my LIBERAL ATTITUDE along the way and started leaning in the other direction.  My first sense of anything was my personal debt and the debt of our country.  I eliminated my debt but could not understand why my country would not eliminate their debt.  I saw the liberals as a bunch of individuals who just wanted the rich and wealthy via the government to pay for everything instead of earning it themselves...  and if, they had to cheat and manipulate others to get what they wanted they did and did so without hesitation.

All of a sudden like a psychedelic mushroom flashback, I realized it was the WEATHLY, not the middle class or poor, that provided us with employment even though it made them more wealthy to do so.  In my mind and quite logically I decided that to take money away from the wealthy and use it to give services to others was in actuality being counterproductive not to mention counter intuitive.

And, while the ridiculous battles raged on by our two political parties, behind the scenes were battle fought between the haves and the have nots and then as if a giant FART had exploded out of the government's ass, the black people decided they had not been treated fairly for over 400 years and that our Constitution written in 1776 did not apply to them since they were basically still black and that HATRED between the races was being perpetuated by the CAUCASIAN on a regular and daily basis.

MIND YOU, there were plenty of wealthy male and female black business people, wealthy male and female black musicians and singers, wealthy male and female black athletes, and wealthy male and female black actors...  it's just that there was not enough of them the black community thought and wanted our government to do something about that...  even though the black only represent 13% of America's overall population with Hispanics representing 18% of that same overall population...  and, they had no concerns at all.

HOWEVER, there was an under current growing in the political landscape...  a movement that would take our government from being a Democratic Republic to being a Socialist country where the society cared more about the people than about the wealthy.

Just for your information, there has NEVER BEEN a Socialistic country that has lead the world both economically and militarily since GOD created our universe...  but that little tidbit of information does not really matter...
  • It does not matter to American Liberals
  • It does not matter to America's Enemies
  • It does not matter to America's Wealthy because they have sheltered their money
  • It does not matter to America's Businesses since they will hire fewer people

So, America is in a State of Transition and she will move from being a Great Country to one of Mediocrity and we will have to ask other country to protect us as we can no longer defend ourselves.  And if... you think that I am kidding...  what do you think DEFUNDING POLICE DEPARTMENTS really means?  I know that the liberals said they were going to REDISTRIBUTE monies which is not really defunding...  but that is semantics.

Redistribute means take from one and give to another.  We do it all the time ourselves when we take money out of the VACATION FUND and redistribute it to our MEDICAL FUND.

Redistribute means police departments will have less funds which means they will have less manpower and less other resources which means YOU will have less protection than before...

Funds from the military will be redistributed as well to pay for social programs and Medicare for ALL...

And, one thing that I have not talked about that comes with an economic slowdown is INFLATION...  if you have not experience that one yet, it can be devastating and you really have to experience it to believe it...

I am finally glad that I am 73 years of age and constantly getting older.

Taking A Rain Day

It is not often that I have the opportunity to sit on my screen-in back porch in the summer because of the position of the sun and the humidity, but today, it is raining and has been raining ever since I awoke two hours ago.  And, there are no colors in the sky except a solid grey that actually serves as a background to highlight all the red brick homes, green grasses, and green leafed trees.  It is a picturesque sight even though it is a tad dismal to my sight; yet, the sound of raining falling is not just relaxing but it is mesmerizing as well in its persistence and relentless assault upon the ground.

From my vantage point, I see no animals flying or scurrying about except for a few hummingbird who, despite the rain, are enjoying and feasting upon the food we put in hanging containers especially for them and to attract them.  There are about 6 hummingbirds that visit our location each year but we have no way of knowing if it is the sames birds or not...  we'd like to think that it was and that over time they would become familiar with us and let us get closer...  but, that has yet to happen.

It is nice, to say the least, to sit out on the porch admiring and listening to the rain and not listening to FOX NEWS and the terrible "THINGS" that are going on in our country because of the upcoming election and because and because Trump's opposition has hated him from the GETGO.

Interestingly, I was raised a Democrat because both my parents were Democrats but after graduating from Wake Forest University with an MBA, I became a CONSERVATIVE LIBERAL and turned my back on the Democratic Party.  My Business Education, gave me a strong belief in the importance of Business and Economic Growth but my liberal background continued to ground me in the reality that there is a HUGE WEALTH GAP in this country and until that gets solved LABOR and MANAGEMENT will never agree on anything and more importantly they will always be enemies.

Another issue is the idea of EQUALITY...  and, while I also strongly believe that we are all equal in GOD's eyes, I also strongly believe that GOD created us with the thoughts of being UNEQUAL in physical, mental, musical, athletic, and social abilities as well.  And, while that may seem like a contradiction, GOD knew that is mankind is going to grow, WE CANNOT ALL BE EQUAL.

AND, as soon as we realize that inequality, our country and world will become a better place to live...

If you don't agree with me, then why are we all not like Michael Jordan or Michael Jackson or Elvis Presley or Tom Cruise or Tom Hanks or Martin Luther King Jr. or Jack Kennedy or Steven Jobs or Mohammed Ali???

Think about that for more than a minute or two if you will...  and then tell me I am wrong...  These GIFTS were given to these people by GOD....  who also wanted all men to be equal in HIS EYES...

We Live In A Democracy

It is an interesting time in America as American face record unemployment due to the Pandemic and Democrats take the opportunity to criticize Trump and his team over their incompetence while the DOJ and the USAG investigate the actions that led up to the Mueller Investigation and Impeachment because they believe there is a rotten apple in the barrel...  So far, they have discovered a former FBI riddled with leaders who violated codes of conduct, ethics, and integrity but who may have not committed any crimes over which individuals could be prosecuted.

What continues to amaze me is that not only do Democrats deny the allegations (which is what anyone should do until found guilty) but that the Mainstream Media downplays all of their actions...  so, if you have half a brain, the average American should realize the game that is being perpetrated ultimately against the general public, and mainly because of their stupidity for allowing this kind of shit to continue in this country.

AND...  while all of this crap plays out...  the Democrats are wanting to keep the economy closed as long as they can because it looks bad on Trump and could cost him the 2020 Presidential Election.  Always POLITICS...  and POLITICS is never about doing what is right for the American People but doing what's right for the Party and to get re-elected.

This is the HUGE FLAW with our DEMOCRACY...

DOUBLE STANDARDS

What concerns me the most about the Democrats, the Liberals, and the Socialists are the
DOUBLE STANDARDS that they impose on American citizens who do not believe like they do...

Here's an example of what I am talking about:

  • When Brett Kavanaugh (Republican) was being considered for Supreme Court Justice, he was accused of sexual harassment/assault, all the Democrats, Liberals, and Socialists believed the woman and not the man.
  • When Joe Biden (Democrat) who is currently a candidate for POTUS was accused of sexual harassment/assault, all the Democrats, Liberals, and Socialists believed the man, not the woman.
Many of us find this UNACCEPTABLE...

I was raised a Democrat by my parents and I grew up to be a LIBERAL DEMOCRAT during and after the Kennedy Administration but gradually over the years, I have put aside my liberal views and become more conservative in nature, beliefs, and behaviors.  BUTNancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, and Gerry Nadler have CONVINCED me that none of them can be TRUSTED to do what is right for American in either the short run (6-12 months out) or in the long run (5-10 years out).

For THREE YEARS,  Americans had to endure the antics of the Democratic Party as they pursued a relentless course towards and with IMPEACHMENT that they KNEW would not be upheld by the SENATE because of a Republican majority.  Millions of dollars was wasted not o mention the time law makers spent on this when they should have been passing laws to benefit the growth and safety of people and the economy.

I am still a DEMOCRAT
I am still a CONSERVATIVE DEMOCRAT
I still have LIBERAL views

AND, when I vote it will never again be for a  DEMOCRAT and if there is not a good Republican candidate on the ballot, I simply will not vote at all...

2020 Election

WELL NOW...    it looks like our 2020 Election will be between Trump and Biden with Sanders still hanging around trying to influence the Democratic Party to move in a more progressive direction which is nothing more than moving closer towards Socialism...

Socialism is a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

So...  what does that really mean for Americans?

It means that Americans will move closer and closer to COMPLETE EQUALITY, in that they will receive equal pay, equal medical, equal education, equal housing...  with the understanding that for all intents and purposes, equal means FREE.

This equality or FREE stuff will be paid for by the wealthy who essentially give their money to the Federal Government via increased taxes...

HOWEVER:  the Federal Government has historically been inefficient and unproductive in the way they have managed everything within their control.

First...  once this happens, the wealthy will find ways to legally hide their money...

Second...  once businesses are forced to pay higher wages, they will hire less employees...

Third...  once retailers are faced with higher wages, they will increase prices...

Fourth...  once people realize that healthcare is FREE, there will be a high influx of patients, jamming up the healthcare system, creating longer wait times for critical procedures...

Fifth...  we will still have numerous millionaires, such as:  professional athletes, professional musicians and singers, and professional actors and actresses...

Sixth...  Americans will NEVER be EQUAL...  no matter how important it is to Socialists...  equality it impractical and counterproductive and in some cases harmful...  thinking intelligence and IQ can be equalized...

Sunday, March 29

I am a CONSERVATIVE LIBERAL

WTF does that mean?

Well...  first and foremost, I am a liberal and share many of the ideas as well as many of the ideals that liberals and the Democratic share inside the party.

I am in favor of
  • LGBTQ+ rights even though I don't understand what the "Q+" means...
  • a female's right to choose but against late term abortions
  • legalizing marijuana but not cocaine, opium, or heroin
  • the Second Amendment
  • a balanced budget and a reduction of debt
  • a strong military
I am against Labor Unions

I don't think that the Government should BAIL OUT businesses because if the finances get that bad then it is the fault of MANAGEMENT...

I don't think that CEO's or anybody for that matter is worth a salary of $1,000,000+ each year...

I think profits should be invested back into the company for expansions and new products and with the employees who got them those profits in the first place...

I watch FOX NEWS because it is the least BIASED of all the media outlets... like CNN, CBS, MSNBC, and ABC...

I have literally compared FOX NEWS with the other outlets and they either do not report what FOX reports or they slant it so that it does not favor the President.

While I did not vote for President Trump, I do think that what he does and says should be reported in a balanced and fair manner...

President Trump acts like a jerk in so many ways and often but he did create and build a very strong economy even if it was first started by the previous President.  Many companies are started by a father or grandfather and the next generation takes what was already there and grows it 10 times...  who should get credit for that?

The one who started the company?

The one who grew the company?

ADDITIONALLY,
I am debt free and have been debt free for over 12-15 years (cannot remember exactly) and I believe that our Government should be debt free as well...

The only time our Government should borrow money is when we are at war or when we have a crisis like COVID-19 or some other kind of natural disaster.

This is basically why I am against SOCIALISM...  because we cannot afford.

Socialism is nothing more than what we saw on TV when we watched Star Trek...  that was Socialism at its best...  and, I am in favor of everything that the series shared with us AS LONG AS WE CAN PAY FOR IT...

It is wrong to finance Socialism by forcing the wealthy to pay for it...

Interestingly...

... the older I get the more conservative I become...
