Mexico Blames US
"Poverty and desperation" led to the deaths of at least 50 migrants abandoned in a Texas lorry, Mexico's president has said.
Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador blamed trafficking and "a lack of control" at the border - the worst case of migrant deaths due to smuggling in the US.
Nearly two dozen Mexicans, seven Guatemalans and two Hondurans were among the dead.
Those found alive, including four children, were taken to hospital.
The survivors were "hot to the touch" and suffering from heat stroke and heat exhaustion.
So far, Mexican authorities have said that at least two Mexican citizens are being treated for dehydration in hospital. Consular officials are working to confirm their identities.
Authorities are working to confirm the nationalities of remaining victims.
According to US authorities, three people "believed to be part of the smuggling conspiracy" have been taken into custody.
Speaking at his daily briefing, Mr Lopez Obrador, popularly known as Amlo, called the discovery a "tremendous tragedy", and said Mexico would work to repatriate the remains of its citizens. READ MORE...

Unintended Consequences
These consequences can be defined as: In the social sciences, unintended consequences (sometimes unanticipated consequences or unforeseen consequences) are outcomes of a purposeful action that are not intended or foreseen. The term was popularised in the twentieth century by American sociologist Robert K.
EXAMPLES
1. “Three strikes” laws may actually be increasing the murder rate, and not decreasing it.
2. Seat belt laws increase the number of car accidents, and increase pedestrian and cyclist deaths.
3. Banning the insecticide DDT almost certainly has led to more deaths, not fewer.
4. Teaching children not to talk to strangers (e.g. the “Stranger Danger Campaign”) may be making them less safe, not more safe.
5. The lengthy and costly FDA approval process might be causing more, not fewer, deaths.
6. Government regulations that reduced logging in America’s national forests (e.g. to protect the threatened northern spotted owl) may have resulted in more acres of forest being harvested worldwide, not less.
7. Increasing state cigarette taxes may significantly decrease government tax revenues, not increase revenues as expected.
8. Tariff on imports are passed in order to protect domestic industries and jobs from foreign competition, but often end up costing more American jobs than are saved by protectionism.
9. Vegetarianism may lead to an increase in animal deaths, and not a decrease.
10. Thanks to the efforts of animal rights activists, horse slaughter is now banned in the US. But that ban is very likely making the treatment of horses worse, not better.

Immigration in France
A writer and talk show pundit known for his polarising attacks on Muslims and immigrants, Zemmour emerged as the election’s dark horse early on in the campaign, drawing from both the mainstream conservative camp and voters disappointed by the far right’s traditional champion, Marine Le Pen. He has since slipped down the table in voter surveys, polling at around 10-11 percent, though his supporters still rank among the most raucous and motivated ahead of the first round of the election on April 10.
On Sunday, tens of thousands gathered at the Trocadéro in Paris, facing the Eiffel Tower, hoping to inject new momentum into his campaign. They included veteran far-rightists, staunch Catholics, anti-LGBT activists and anti-vaxxers for whom Zemmour is the best candidate to halt immigration, restore order and uphold traditional French values.
Donning a “Zemmour 2022” cap and a baptism medal wrapped around her neck, 18-year-old Eugénie is getting ready to cast her very first ballot on April 10 – and she could hardly be more thrilled about her choice of candidate. “I never thought I’d support someone with such fervour,” she says. “I’m lucky to be casting my first vote for a candidate I really like.” The philosophy student was just 9 years old when she first took part in a Paris rally, back in 2013, to oppose marriage for same-sex couples. Nine years on, she’s back on the streets of the French capital to “prove that Zemmour is not alone, contrary to what the media claim”.

I Haven't Been To Europe Either...
Listening to FOX News this morning as I always do, the hosts played a segment of VP Kamala Harris being interviewed... the segment started off with the reported saying that the VP had not been to the border.
The VP responded, "we have been to the border."
The reporter clarified, "you have not been there."
The VP responded, "I haven't been to Europe either..." and laughed it off in a dismissive way.
The VP of the United States must maintain a professional image that is one of integrity as well... and, to hear her answer the question the way she did, reminds of the bullshit that former President Trump used to do... but, the press never let him get away with it.
Is the press letting here get away with this because:
- She is BLACK
- She is DEMOCRAT
- She is FEMALE
- She is WOKE
One issue is for TRUE TRUE and that is that the USA is changing and while 50% of the public think the change is GOOD... another 50% think the change is BAD...
Guess what folks...
AMERICA is DIVIDED right down the middle...
What does this mean?
Nothing will ever get done unless one side gives in...
Divided America FALLS...
America FALLS globally which is much worse that failing with the contiguous states... plus Alaska and Hawaii...
Is that what you want?
Which side are you on???

What Do Ya Need?
Many of us Americans as well as those immigrants who have entered this country
illegally want the SAME THING.... MORE... MORE... MORE... of everything, such as:
- more money
- more food
- more alcohol
- more drugs
- more sex
- more clothes
- more fun
I was going to add more education but that thought got me to thinking about my previous students who only wanted to memorize what they needed to know for the test and not what they needed to know to retain knowledge... some would argue that those two statements are not mutually exclusive.
I remember a very wealthy man telling once that all he wanted to do was just earn one more dollar...
What is this obsession with MONEY?
I had a conversation yesterday with a legal immigrant who has become a US citizen and he lives two doors down from me and when we are out mowing our yard at the same time, we always stop and talk...
He is 61/62 years of age and I am 73 years of age, and we both at at that point where we are no longer interested in having the desire to acquire more money... but instead, have acquired the desire to enjoy the live around us... that is to say:
- enjoy the sunrises
- enjoy the sunsets
- enjoy the warm weather
- enjoy the birds singing
- enjoy watching the rabbit in the yard
- enjoy the beauty of trees

Americans and Politics
Most Americans... and, I use that word liberally... don't give a rat's ass about politics... that is to say that they are either liberal or conservative but they do not let the opposing party's leadership negatively influence their day-to-days lives... They work and play regardless of what party is in power and regardless of immigration and regardless of taxes or the cost of living...
Most Americans simply try to do the best they can, given their opportunities and limitations and don't piss and moan if things do not go their way... like a lot of these BLACKS are doing...
Most Americans are white (60% of the population) but they do not think their lives have been based or predicated upon WHITE PRIVILEGE... although, they do believe that the WEALTHY WHITES have been living a life based upon or predicated upon white privilege... but, there is really nothing that they can do about it... so they just GO WITH THE FLOW...
Personally... I really don't give a shit about the wealthy whites or black lives matter or cancel culture, the WOKE Mob, the tearing down of Confederate Statues, Slavery, or the Defunding of the police... in fact, I hope the police are reduced or re-indoctrinated or restructured... BUT what I cannot tolerate is TAX INCREASES...
If illegal immigrants move into my location, I will simply ignore them as I have always done... My retired life will continue regardless of what happens here... if America changes... then, it frigging changes... Life goes on for me...
