This unique commercial uses the phrase, TIME IS RUNNING OUT...
It is not that I find this statement offensive but this statement is misleading and is used to garner sympathy from the viewer, implying that time is running out for this person...
GUESS WHAT???
Once time runs out for this person, then time will be running out for the next person and the next person and the next person after that.
Time will always be running out for someone and therein lies my issue...
Companies who design these commercials use tried and true marketing techniques that play on people's empathies and as a result, they send money that they don't have.
The people who send money to these CHARITIES are the POOR PEOPLE... playing on their age and ignorance, just like the REALITY SHOWS that are the farthest thing away from actual reality.
Wealthy people can give the money and sometimes do because they get a tax deduction on their income taxes not because they give a shit about the potential victims.
Get the wealthy people to give and leave the FRIGGING POOR PEOPLE ALONE...
