Retired and Writing Novels

In 2015 my wife and I retired...  our first order of business was to travel but after 5 years, we grew tired of the lifestyle and she began to read and watch Kdramas while I began to write novels...  to date I have written 7 of those little bad boys but one of them was partially destroyed online for some reason and has to be reconstructed which I am in the process of doing, once I edit the other 6...

Each of these novels is approximately 90,000 to 100,000+ words so they not been written in anykind of down and dirty fashion like poker.  A couple of scifi, a couple are spies, a couple are business practices, and one is about the sexual escapades at a small southern, christian college.

Right now, I am considering publishing them on Amazon through KDP but have not made that final decision.  Not sure what I am waiting for other than not wanting to get negative feedback I suppose.

Here they are:

1.  Earth's Hidden Keys:  Cosmic Priests break their vows -  obviously scifi but keys were hidden among the 12 major religions and need to be found and assembled in order to save earth.

2.  Holding On: a honeycomb of lies and deceit - is about a wealthy businessman trying to corner the honey bee market along with some other illegal practices and finally gets caught.

3.  Beyond the Milky Way - scifi, earth has evolved and has colonized several planets in our solar system...  a race of people from another dimension is planning to invade earth and the cosmic priest help defend humans from the predators.

4.  Hunting the Scorpion Scarab  -  takes place in Cairo, Egypt at the American University where a CIA agent is posing as a college professor to try and catch the Scorpion Scarab is plans and conducts global terrorist activities.

5.  Lost Creek Diaries - is about a small southern christian college and the prostitution ring that has been operating on campus since the civil war...  it all falls apart when a diary is found.

6.  Deception in Paris - a CIA spy story set in Paris and involves the Russians and Chinese who are stealing secrets from American companies.  The CIA agent in charge had a car accident and was in a coma for 10 years and is not trying to piece together his past life.  This is the one that needs to be reconstructed.

7.  Mega Billionaires:  controlling global resources - is about two group of global billionaires who are influencing drug trafficking, illegal immigration in the US, controlling and influence the news media and social media, as well as education and what the students read.  The violence between these groups for control shows an impotent global law enforcement who cannot stop them.

I have 7 novels that I would consider to be works in process and another 12 that are just in title form with minimal plot developments.

Writing for me is not just a hobby but has become a fun activity and helps me pass the day.

BLM Founder Spends Thousands

The controversial Marxist co-founder of Black Lives Matter recently completed tens of thousands of dollars in renovations at her posh Los Angeles home, including building a new plunge pool and backyard sauna, according to a new report.

Patrisse Cullors, 39, the former leader of Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, also added a children’s play area for her young son outside her 2,580-square foot three-bedroom, three-bathroom home in Los Angeles’ Topanga Canyon neighborhood, photos show.

The images reveal a deep plunge pool that has yet to have water added, as well as a small shed that houses the sauna. A child’s swing set and covered slide is also visible in the photograph.

Cullors, who resigned from the national group a month after The Post revealed that she had gone on a real estate buying spree last year, paid $1.4 million for the Topanga Canyon home in March 2021, according to public records.  READ MORE...

Heading For A Recession

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon on Monday warned that a “very, very serious” mix of headwinds was likely to tip both the U.S. and global economy into recession by the middle of next year.

Dimon, chief executive of the largest bank in the U.S., said the U.S. economy was “actually still doing well” at present and consumers were likely to be in better shape compared with the 2008 global financial crisis.

“But you can’t talk about the economy without talking about stuff in the future — and this is serious stuff,” Dimon told CNBC’s Julianna Tatelbaum on Monday at the JPM Techstars conference in London.

Among the indicators ringing alarm bells, Dimon cited the impact of runaway inflation, interest rates going up more than expected, the unknown effects of quantitative easing and Russia’s war in Ukraine.

“These are very, very serious things which I think are likely to push the U.S. and the world — I mean, Europe is already in recession — and they’re likely to put the U.S. in some kind of recession six to nine months from now,” Dimon said.  READ MORE...

Not Just Abortion Says Bernie

With just four weeks to go until this year's midterm elections, independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont is urging the Democratic Party to discuss issues besides abortion rights.

In an op-ed published in The Guardian on Monday, the two-time Democratic presidential candidate made the case that while abortion remains an important issue — particularly in the wake of the Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v. Wade in June — the party risks letting Republican messages on the economy go unanswered.

"This is a fight that most Americans want us to wage and, given the Republicans' extremist position on the issue, makes them genuinely vulnerable," Sanders wrote of abortion rights, before declaring that he's "alarmed to hear the advice that many Democratic candidates are getting from establishment consultants and directors of well-funded Super Pacs that the closing argument of Democrats should focus only on abortion."  READ MORE...

Chillin' With Your BONG

One would think that after a while, age would cause you to stop smoking pot...  but, like all mediocre cultures, the more you get high, the less and less that you want to achieve...  and, you end up like all those in the Middle and Far East...  without a care in the world except where are you going to find your next little cube of hashesh...

Of course, it is referred to by many names but here in America it is called grass or pot or maryjane...

And, like alcohol it is only for those who have no discipline or self-control and want to zone out from reality and act like it's not there for a while...  or, experience the buzz of a high...  that does not last that long with long term use...

Most alcoholics cannot admit they are alcoholics...  and yet, they need alcohol to socialize and be friendly and charming and impress all their guests who are also drinking alcohol in an effort to sustain their buzz...

Why has life become so difficult to live that we need alcohol to make sense of it all and accept our self-imposed realities???

Alcohol for many of us started in high school because we were told not to drink alcohol.  For some of us it began in college as a way to impress the females and belong to a group of males in a club who drink alcohol as if it were some kind of sport.  For others, it was at the end of day at work, to unwind from the stress of it all...  leaving the wife and children at home to wonder when you were going to return.

Gradually, drugs replaced or supplemented alcohol and soon our clever souls were consuming both and we had all sorts of friends around us doing the same...  it was one big party...  we were successful...  financially well off...  and had this great job that provided us with an enormous amount of stress that needed to be dissipated once in a while.

Drugs and alcohol WORKED...  and we became hooked on the concept but not addicted...  we were too careful for that...  but, our minds kept us involved as it became the THING TO DO...

Kiss Your Asses Goodbye

How well do you want to live?

Do you want to own a car?

Do you want to own a home?

Do you want to take vacations?

Do you want to have children?

Do you want to be debt free?

Answers to all of these questions require earning money...  and, you will never have all of these just receiving welfare from the government.  You must work.  And, while working may seem abhorent to you, it is a fact of life with which most of us are involved...  unless idenpendently wealthy or sell illegal drugs to the wealthy.

COVID kept most of us home and rather than blame CHINA and do something about it, we wanted more of this doing nothing as we rather enjoyed it.

But when goods and services are not produced prices increase and it costs us more to live and our free money from the government does not last as long as it used to...  SO...  blame yourselves for some of this inflation because you deserve it...  the blame not the money.

One of the issues that LAZINESS fails to address is the small fact of life that CHINA wants to control the USA and they want to do this economically and militarily and as long as we continue to do what we are doing, they are going to accomplish their goals.

So, what you don't see and what you don't believe will ever happen because you believe others will defend and save you, could one day be a reality especially when there is not enough of the others to do what you hope they will do...

THEN GUESS WHAT?  It's too frigging late...   YOU LOOSE...  and, you must learn to speak Mandarin because there will be no handouts from the Chinese like there were with the Americans...  they don't play that game...

And you my lazy friends are SOL...

Counting Sheep or Counting Chickens

We have a tendency to count our chickens before they hatch and then bitch about all that did not take place for which we had planned...  when one looks back on that logic, one can easily see how stupid it was to have it in the first place...  yet, we never seem to learn our lesson(s).

  • If only this had happened
  • If only that had happened
  • But neither one happened
For all the rest of us, we realized that once we have made the bed, we have to sleep in it regardless of how it feels or does not feel...  that's just the way life is.

INFLATION is robbing us of our quality of life and it hurts people more in the North than it does in the South and also in larger cities than in rural areas regardless of North or South.

Crime and Violence is increasing in these larger cities too and the result is that people are moving out of the cities and into the rural areas or into other cities that do not have all the crime and violence...

As people move out of cities, less and less taxes are collected and less and less services can be provided to the residents, causing more people to pack up and leave.  And yet, the people commiting the violence does not want this to happen because they people moving out were their next victims...

They cannot steal and kill each other...  or can they?

  • New York City is dying
  • Chicago is dying
  • Seattle is dying
  • San Francisco is dying
  • Los Angeles is already dead
  • Philadelphia is dying
  • Baltimore is dying

How many of these cities considered themselves to be SANCTUARY CITIES for illegal immigrants???
Good Luck WIth That...

COVID and Illegal Immigration

My wife and I have received both our COVID shots and both boosters and are waiting for the 3rd booster to come online so we can get that one too.

We understand the natural immunity thing that people have once they have contracted COVID and survived...  but, we don't understand why people don't want to get the shot because of what it puts into your body.

COVID shots are no different than flu shots, pheumonia shot, shingles shot, or any other shot that prevents contracting a serious disease.

Neither can we understand why this administration is doing absolutely nothing about stopping the illegal immigration when it is entirely possible that these illegal immigrants have had NO COVID SHOTS at all...

...in short, these illegal immigrants could re-infect Americans all over again and/or bring into this country a variation that has not yet been identified or even considered.

Illegal immigrants could pose a serious health risk to Americans and WE ARE DOING NOTHING...

That ain't too smart JOE...

Financially Destroying Trump Finally

Michael Cohen (above), once former President Donald Trump's attorney and fixer, said that New York Attorney General Letitia James' massive fraud lawsuit will "financially destroy" his old boss and may ultimately lead to him going to prison.

James filed a sweeping civil suit against Trump, his business, and his three eldest children in September. She seeks to permanently bar the Trumps from conducting business in New York and pursuing at least $250 million in damages.

In an in-depth interview with Salon magazine before releasing his second book "Revenge," Cohen said: "Right now, that case will financially destroy him."

He added that the penalties could exceed the $250 million baseline.  READ MORE...

Protests in Iran

Two members of Iran's security forces have been killed in continuing protests against the authorities, state media have said.

Videos on social media show students and schoolgirls joining the demonstrations across the country.

Dozens of protesters have been killed since unrest began last month following the death of a young woman in custody.

Mahsa Amini was detained in Tehran by the morality police for allegedly not covering her hair properly.

The 22-year-old Iranian Kurd died in custody on 16 September, three days after her arrest.

One member of the Basij paramilitary militia was "killed by rioters with a gunshot" at one of the protest sites in Tehran, according to Basij News, the official website run by the Basij organisation.  READ MORE...

Russian Elites & Putin

Friends, rivals and enemies took their seats in the Grand Kremlin Palace as Vladimir Putin gathered the country’s elite to formalise Russia’s illegal annexation of four occupied regions in Ukraine.

The ceremony was meant to portray strength and unity, but within 24 hours had been overshadowed by Russia’s failures on the battlefield. These losses, which continued into this week on the southern and eastern fronts in Ukraine, have led to a major, unprecedented rupture within the ruling class as the Kremlin seeks scapegoats for a series of military embarrassments.

The following account is based on 15 interviews with former government and defence officials, members of the military, political observers, journalists, opposition members, and an inmate at a prison where Wagner founder Yevgeny Prigozhin recruited soldiers to join his mercenary group in Ukraine.                READ MORE...

Life Insurance Con

How many of you have LIFE INSURANCE???  I would suspect that a lot have purchased that nonsense in order to have peace of mind for you and your family.

The truth about life insurance is that you are betting that you DIE sooner than later...  or, at least after the probationary period.

Why?

Because you get the MOST MONEY for the least premiums...

Instead, you could be investing that money in a mutual fund so that by the time you die, you have more than twice what you life insurance company is going to pay you...

Yes, you could die prematurely but that's the risk that you must take if you want to wisely spend your money.

Unfortunately, most people let agents convince them that they could die before their time...  and if, you don't take out life insurance then you don't really care about your wife and children...  What a load of crap...

Turn Off Air Tags

Lufthansa is telling passengers to switch off tracking devices placed in their luggage, rendering the hardware useless in keeping track of bags.

Local publication WirtschaftsWoche first reported in August that the German airline was treating the tags, such as Apple's AirTag, as an electronic device like phones and laptops, indicating their batteries would need to be removed prior to flying as they were "dangerous goods."

This would make it impossible to keep track of the tag or luggage during a journey.

"Baggage trackers belong to the category of portable electronic devices and are therefore subject to the dangerous goods regulations for carriage in airplanes issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization," a Lufthansa spokesperson told WirtschaftsWoche.  READ MORE...

Living In Sin

On Friday, WBLT News reported that a Mississippi reverend's letter to two new parents has gone viral on social media after he unexpectedly refused to perform a baptism of their infant, due to their being unmarried.

"Kamri Mclendon lives with her boyfriend of two years, Tristan Mcphail, in Sumrall. In May, the 18-year-old gave birth to a girl, Presleigh.

She said the pregnancy was not planned, but her daughter has become the couple’s 'greatest blessing,'" reported Josh Carter and Andrew McMunn.

"Mclendon said she grew up in the church, and thus wanted to have an infant baptism performed on Presleigh in the Hickory Gro
ve United Methodist Church.

Her family has been attending the church for 'generations,' and it is where Mclendon herself was baptized."

According to the report, Reverend Dewayne Warren was aware of the circumstances of the birth when he initially agreed to perform the ceremony — and the letter changing his mind came as a shock.  READ MORE...

Happy Meals

As a frazzled working mom who spends many afternoon and evening hours each week at the soccer field or my kids' martial arts studio, I've come to rely on fast food quite a bit during those times when eating dinner at home just isn't feasible.

And whenever we go to McDonald's, it never fails -- my children inevitably ask for a Happy Meal.

Usually I'll oblige, even though I can, in some cases, get away with a lower credit card tab by ordering items off of the McDonald's menu individually.

But for a few extra dollars, I'm usually happy to indulge my kids in a Happy Meal and the bonus toy that comes with it.

But now, it's not just kids who can enjoy a McDonald's Happy Meal. The fast food giant recently introduced an adult version of the Happy Meal, and it's comparable to the kids' version in that it does, in fact, come with a toy.  READ MORE...

S O S Just Another Day

Today, we decided to close our pool for the winter...  I cannot remember if we did this earlier or later last year but that does not really matter.  This year, we are not reducting the water levels as we have done in all the other years of pool ownership because our contacts at the pool place that sells chemicals and stuff says not to...  although, on one of the items they sold us to close our pool with, does recommend lowering the water level...  so, we thought what the shit, let's do something different this year and now lower the water level...   I'll let you know what happens, if I can remember to do that...  but, at 75, who knows what the hell my mind might remember or not.

We trim bushes each years and put the cuttings on the road for pick up.  Our back cuttings are done, we just need to complete the front yard.  Yes, we know it is actually too early to do fall trimming but we don't care if our bushes live or not as we just as soon plant grass and mow instead of trim.

If all goes well, I will also drain the hot tub this weekend, clean it out, and refill it for use during the winter months.  I did not use it for over 5 months because of my back problems and surgery but I started using it again to try and relax my muscles which is the reason for cleaning.

Our pool and hot tub are almost 15 years old and they have lasted this long because we have taken care of them.  We have spent less than $5,000 maintaining them over these 14/15 years which averages out to less than $500 each year or less that $50 each month or about a $1.60 each day...  but, who the hell figures out what it costs them each day?  It certainly isn't me...  lol

While my finances are personal, my keen insight into financial planning, which is one of the classes I still teach at the university, has put me and my family in a position where we are not hurt by the current inflation...  in the sense that we have not yet had to cut back on anything.  Of course, our current lifestyle does not have us traveling like we did from 2015 to 2020.  During those years, we were going somewhere every other month.  And, that shit gets old as you get old.

At my age, I mainly eat fish, chicken, veges, and beans and very seldom do I ever eat red meat, fried food, or sweets and absolutly no alcohol or cigarettes.  I also walk 2-3 miles a day, once in the morning and once in the late afternoon.  When I do eat red meat, it is usually a cheeseburger or an everything pizza.

I don't give a damn about politics and politics does not give a damn about me.  But, the irony of politics in the US and possibly Canada is that over half of the world IS NOT GOING TO FOLLOW OUR LEAD when it comes to going green...  And that is going to make us look pretty damn foolish, to say the least...

I am really looking forward to watching an electric airplane take off and land...  I doubt I would ride in one.  I do have an electric chainsaw and tiller and vacuum cleaner.

Of course, I doubt I would fly on a nuclear airplane either even though I know there are nuclear submarines.

All in all, I have about another 20 years to live and a lot of shit can happen in twenty years.  I am sure that one of the first things that is in our near future is robots replacing over 80% of our jobs.  At that point, everybody gets to retire which is going to be crazy when it comes to going places...  we will all spend our time standing in lines...  just like in the military...  hurry up and wait.  Military mentality...  ain't nothing like it...  unless it is other government workers.

Well...   Imma gonna close...  doubt if anyone read this far or not...  but if you did...  see ya.
