AMERICA WANTS TO GO BACK TO WORK
BUT,
Can they be trusted to:
1. wear face masks
2. social distance
3. disinfect surfaces
4. wash their hands often
5. wash their hands properly
6. protect people at risk

Can You Imagine?
President Trump built a strong economy by removing government regulations and requirements that were hanging around the necks of business and industry like a lead collar... and, once they were removed, business and industry responded with great vigor and robustness... and, we had the strongest economy in history and the lowest unemployment in history and the highest employment in history.
NOW, imagine all that disappearing...
Well... unless you have not been paying attention, it has disappeared because of the Pandemic... and, now we have unemployment levels that are near the same levels that were present during the GREAT DEPRESSION.
LOOK AROUND...
and, you can see the results of a dead economy and you can see the harm and pain that it is causing...
NOW,
imagine this pain continuing because Trump loses the 2020 election and Joe Biden is our new President...
and, the Senate is controlled by the Democrats like the House is controlled by the Democrats... what do you think will happen to our economy then?
Democrats cannot FORCE business and industry to hire workers!
Democrats cannot FORCE business and industry to expand their product lines!
Democrats cannot FORCE business and industry to expand their markets!
Democrats cannot FORCE business and industry to pay above minimum wage!
Democrats cannot FORCE the wealthy from sheltering their money from TAXES!
DEMOCRATS do no understand that workers do not build the economy as strong and as
comprehensive as business and industry builds the economy by reinvesting PROFITS.
DEMOCRATS do not understand that a majority of charitable contributions come from the WEALTHY not the POOR.
IMAGINE, the Democrats winning the 2020 election & taking control of the HOUSE/SENATE
1. Our economy does not grow
2. unemployment remains high
3. a recession takes place
4. inflation starts to rise
5. shortages start to occur
6. tax collection declines
7. healthcare problems grow
8. terrorism increases
9. US troops sent overseas
10. China/Russia begins aggressive moves
11. North Korea becomes a nuclear power
12. NATO relations decline
13. the value of the dollar declines
14. global economies do not rebound
15. new trade deals are negotiated

DOUBLE STANDARDS
What concerns me the most about the Democrats, the Liberals, and the Socialists are the
DOUBLE STANDARDS that they impose on American citizens who do not believe like they do...
Here's an example of what I am talking about:
DOUBLE STANDARDS that they impose on American citizens who do not believe like they do...
Here's an example of what I am talking about:
- When Brett Kavanaugh (Republican) was being considered for Supreme Court Justice, he was accused of sexual harassment/assault, all the Democrats, Liberals, and Socialists believed the woman and not the man.
- When Joe Biden (Democrat) who is currently a candidate for POTUS was accused of sexual harassment/assault, all the Democrats, Liberals, and Socialists believed the man, not the woman.
Many of us find this UNACCEPTABLE...
I was raised a Democrat by my parents and I grew up to be a LIBERAL DEMOCRAT during and after the Kennedy Administration but gradually over the years, I have put aside my liberal views and become more conservative in nature, beliefs, and behaviors. BUT, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, and Gerry Nadler have CONVINCED me that none of them can be TRUSTED to do what is right for American in either the short run (6-12 months out) or in the long run (5-10 years out).
For THREE YEARS, Americans had to endure the antics of the Democratic Party as they pursued a relentless course towards and with IMPEACHMENT that they KNEW would not be upheld by the SENATE because of a Republican majority. Millions of dollars was wasted not o mention the time law makers spent on this when they should have been passing laws to benefit the growth and safety of people and the economy.
I am still a DEMOCRAT
I am still a CONSERVATIVE DEMOCRAT
I still have LIBERAL views
AND, when I vote it will never again be for a DEMOCRAT and if there is not a good Republican candidate on the ballot, I simply will not vote at all...
NOT A PROFESSIONAL
In 1974, I graduated from a NC University with a degree in English after entering that same University in 1966 after taking a leave of absence to spend a few years in the US Navy stationed at the Little Creek piers associated with the Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia. In essence, it took me four and a half years to complete 4 years of higher education.
Why did I get an English Degree?
Not sure, other than I was interested in all forms of literature which included poetry with which I had been toying.
While my first job had nothing to do with my English degree, I nonetheless continued to write more and more poetry. This typically took place at Hardees around 7:00 am while drinking coffee before work. I would drink a couple of cups of coffee (refills were free) while sitting off by myself writing. This morning writing routine lasted from 1972 until about 2012 and over those 40 years, I managed to write over 42,000 poems...
From 2012 through 2018, I started writing opinion articles over 1,000 words in length that I posted on LINKEDIN under a fake name because I did not want a link to my employer as some of these opinion articles were very pointed towards inappropriate behaviors my my employers that crossed lines of integrity.
In 2018/2019, I decided to turn my attention to writing NOVELS and came up with 4 novel ideas that would have 3 sequels each or 12 novels in total. I actually completed 2 of these novels and was half way through the third novel, when my sister said she was having a hard time reading my first novel... even though it was actually supposed to be a friend of hers who was reading and critiquing it. That comment ruined my motivation and I stopped right then and there completing my 3rd novel.
What I then focused on was my 4 blogs:
- A Journal of Daily Pages - is a blog about thoughts I have
- A Bipolar Scorpion - is a blog about being bipolar
- My Cancer Odyssey - is a blog about living with cancer
- Reflections: White Scorpion - is a blog where I publish my 42,000 poems
What I have noticed about ALL OF MY WRITING is that I seldom edit or rewrite. I suppose that I am flawed if I don't edit or rewrite but I just don't feel that I need to because what I wrote the first time is what I felt at that point-in-time other than correcting punctuation or spelling. This works for poetry but not so much for prose... but, that is my style...
UNFORTUNATELY, none of my poems, articles, or other writings have ever been published professionally... And... while I would like to be published professionally, I write and continue to write because I want to... and no doubt, I will write until die...
WHY?
Not sure what inspires me to do so but I am just compelled to write about something everyday.

MOTORHOME
FIVE YEARS AGO, when I first retired, I seriously considered investing in a motorhome and traveling around the USA... going from State-to-State visiting historical sites and other landmarks and pulling a smaller vehicle in which to drive around once we had parked in a camp ground. After much thought, I decided that I did not want to drive that MUTHER around on small streets or in the downtown areas of larger cities and try to back it up in case I needed to...
Mother's Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May. It complements similar celebrations honoring family members, such as Father's Day, Siblings Day, and Grandparents Day.
The modern Mother's Day began in the United States, at the initiative of Anna Jarvis in the early 20th century. This is not (directly) related to the many traditional celebrations of mothers and motherhood that have existed throughout the world over thousands of years, such as the Greek cult to Cybele, Rhea the Great Mother of the Gods, the Roman festival of Hilaria, or the Christian Mothering Sunday celebration (originally a commemoration of Mother Church, not motherhood). However, in some countries, Mother's Day is still synonymous with these older traditions.
The U.S.-derived modern version of Mother's Day has been criticize] for having become too commercialized. Founder Jarvis herself regretted this commercialism and expressed views on how that was never her intention. SOURCE: Wikipedia

Saturday Evening
I have been staying at home since the end of February this year except for doctor's appointments that are critical, chemo infusions, and putting gasoline in the car; otherwise, I have not left the house other than to mow the yard or do other yard work. And, being forced to live like that does not brother me nor does it cause me anxiety or fill me with depression. With that said, I have missed out on a vacation to Destin, FL on the Gulf coast, going out to dinner, going out for brunch on Sundays, going to a movie theater at a nearby mall, picking up supplies at Lowes, going grocery shopping, and/or taking our cats to the Vet.
WHY have I not been out anymore than that in a State and region that has less then two dozen COVID-19 cases?
Age is an issue...
But, the main concern is that I have NO IMMUNITY due to ongoing cancer treatments...
HOWEVER,
I am retired and do not need to work which has minimized my stress. If I had needed to work, I have no doubts that I would angry that this had happened to all of us.
REFLECTING...
These last couple of months have given me the opportunity to focus on my blogs and my other writings which I may not have devoted so much time to if I had not been self-quarantining.
While at home, I have noticed:
1. How the Democrats continue to attack Trump on everything he does or does not do
2. How the mainstream media continues to be biased against Trump
3. How grateful I am that I have pulled away from the Democrats
4. How selfish and self-serving Americans are
5. How power hungry some Governors are
6. How businesses are helping the people more than I had expected
7. How much I want CHINA to be punished
8. How many local resident do not wear face masks or social distance
9. How most Americans are not self-reliant
10. How civil disobedience is growing
Time for bed and to stop all my thinking.

PEOPLE LEAVING STATES
One million people have fled New York City and the tri-state area—which encompasses Jersey, Connecticut and Long Island—in the last nine years. According to Bloomberg, almost 300 people are moving out of the area per day.
This trend is not exclusive to the New York metropolitan area. Many similar regions are seeing their residents migrate to other states. Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco, as well as Connecticut’s Hartford, Bridgeport and New Haven, have all experienced a substantial exodus of people.
United Van Lines, the large moving truck company, keeps statistics on the flow of people. The company reports that three states in the Northeast—New Jersey, New York and Connecticut—are among the top places from which people are moving the fastest. READ MORE

American Football
Who Invented Football?
On November 6, 1869, Rutgers and Princeton played what was billed as the first college football game. However, it wasn't until the 1880s that a great rugby player from Yale, Walter Camp, pioneered rules changes that slowly transformed rugby into the new game of American Football.
Football definition:
any of several games played between two teams on a usually rectangular field having goalposts or goals at each end and whose object is to get the ball over a goal line, into a goal, or between goalposts by running, passing, or kicking: such as.
