American Manufacturing
I purchased a Dell Vostro 7620 from Dell online in January of 2024 (five months ago) and already the problems I have encountered have resulted in two home visits by a Dell Technician.
The first time was to replace the keyboard and the second time was to replace the top of the laptop case holding the screen. The hinge broke off from the bottom.
I have also been having a reoccurring problem with the mouse freezing up, causing me to make at least two calls so far for technical support. Each call has lasted over two hours, and the problem still persists.
My last technician said I probably needed to reinstall the operating system that would involve backing up all my data on an external hard drive first, but that they could not help with that other that try and walk me through it.
So far, I would suspect that Dell has invested about half of the profit they made from the sell, trying to fix this problem. No doubt, I will be calling them again for another problem and no doubt a technician will come out to the house, further decreasing their profit margins.
It would be much simpler and less expensive for Dell to replace this laptop with a new one. However, they have a different mindset which, in my opinion, does little to serve the customer and enhance REPEAT BUSINESS.
A bigger problem here, as I see it, is the lack of quality with American Manufacturing. When I was in graduate school for business, I remember my marketing professor sharing with us the concept of built in obsolescence. The idea was to build products intentionally that would only last 3-5 years to create a guaranteed pool of repeat business.
While my problems with Dell may be a result of this built in obsolescence, it seems more like labor on the manufacturing floor are not performing their jobs correctly.
Everywhere you turn, I see a Dell computer in a variety of different office spaces from the medical profession to education to public administration to private use. My thoughts are now on are these people using Dell having the same problems that I am having???
MAKES YOU WONDER.
An Exotic Propulsion Space Race
An international team of physicists behind several revolutionary warp drive concepts, including the first to require no exotic matter, says that recent unprecedented breakthroughs in physics and propulsion have launched the world powers into a Cold War-style, 21st-century space race to build the world’s first working warp drive.
“We have a space race brewing,” said Gianni Martie, the founder of the Applied Physics (AP) think tank and co-author on a pair of forthcoming warp drive research papers, in an email to The Debrief. “There’s still a ton to discover and invent, but we have the next steps now, which we didn’t have before.”
Comprised of over 30 physicists and scientists in related disciplines, the AP team has gained a sizeable reputation in the warp theory community due to their highly regarded, peer-reviewed papers on numerous warp drive concepts.
The AP team has also created the Warp Factory, a set of development and simulation tools that allow fellow researchers in this nascent field to evaluate the physics of their own models, which can greatly improve the model’s quality and viability. READ MORE...

Supreme Court Repercussions
I would suspect that Judge Merchan has familiarized himself with the Supreme Court's ruling on Trump's immunity and I would suspect (whether right or wrong) that member of the Democratic Party have touched base with the judge regarding Trump's sentencing.
HOWEVER, will Judge Merchan have the BALLS to incarcerate the former President and leading Republican candidate for President in 2024, based upon the potential FALLOUT of such an action???
This is the $64,000 question!!!
Like with all things political, there has been a lot of speculation, knowing that Donald Trump could still campaign from jail for the Presidency...
AN HISTORICAL FIRST...
BUT...
Can you just imagine the repercussions if Trump were to win the election?
On the other side of the coin...
Can you imagine the repercussions before the election if Trump were actually incarcerated?
Some of the media has classified what is going on in the USA as a CLOWN SHOW... a SHIT SHOW... even the phrase that Clint Eastwood used in one of his movies...
In point of fact, the rest of the world would look at the USA in amazement and in utter astonishment over what we've done to a former President, and no doubt losing the last bit of respect they once had for this country.
Trump HATERS would pee in their pants they would be so excited and happy... not realizing the unintended consequences of their actions. All they want to do is STOP TRUMP.
The Democrats completely ignore the fact they lied about the Hunter Biden Laptop.
The Democrats completely ignore the fact they lied about Trump's Russia Collusion.
The Democrats completely ignore the fact that Biden performed horribly during the debate.
ARE YOU SURE YOU REALLY WANT THESE KIND OF PEOPLE RUNNING THE COUNTRY???
Death Penalty
When I vote, I vote for that person that I perceive will be best for the country and not simply to perpetuate a party's platform and policies. In many cases, it might just be the lesser of the two evils.
TODAY...
my thoughts are focused on the death penalty and my first thought which may seem a tad religious is this: MAN CAN TAKE A LIFE BUT HE CANNOT CREATE ONE...
In essence, and regardless of crime, I do not believe that we should have the death penalty.
With that said, I don't think it should be our Federal Government that takes a position on this - it should be up to the States to decide based upon the beliefs of their various populations.
I understand the argument of how much it costs to keep a person incarcerated for a year let alone a lifetime, but that, in my mind, still does not convince the death penalty should be implemented.
If we kill someone for killing another, then, it would seem like to me that we are no different than the person who killed in the first place, other than the law says we can do this.
It is also widely believed that the death penalty is a deterrent to horrific crimes. While that might be true, I would suspect that there is just as much evidence to the contrary. As a matter of fact, data in most cases is easily manipulated to support one's initial beliefs and premises.
MY SOLUTION...
Send all inmates regardless of their crimes both past, present, and future either to Artica or Antarctica. Give them the tools and supplies to build their own housing facilities where they can grow, harvest, process, distribute, and cook their own food and clothes. Give them medical supplies as well along with a variety of educational materials. Perhaps computers as well.
They will be responsible for policing themselves and maintaining whatever type of law enforcement process they feel they need.
They will never be provided with any kind of resources that will enable them to escape their location and satellite surveillance will be monitoring them 24/7.
They can kill each other if that is what they want to do but it will not take long for them to realize, killing each other will not keep the rest of them alive - they will need everyone just to survive.
Our Election and the Supreme Court
Joe Biden and his family had a pow-wow at Camp David over the weekend and convinced Joe Biden to stay in the Presidential Race, even though several LIBERAL MEDIA NEWS OUTLETS called for him to DROP OUT of the race as a result of his poor performance in the debate.
As a result, the LIBERALS have gone on the attack again using the recent Supreme Court decision on immunity directing it towards Donald Trump.
There attack is completely MISLEADING or an attempt to mislead the general public.
While the Supreme Court's decision does favor Donald Trump regarding several of his recent and pending jury trials, it was not just a decision favoring Donald Trump but was a decision FOR ALL PRESIDENTS PAST AND FUTURE.
Obama, Clinton, and Carter as well as Bush are free from any criminal prosecution while in office. While this may seem like a minor point, it is actually a HUGE POINT because it is NOT JUST FOR TRUMP but for all presidents.
It amazes me that the Democrats continue to mislead the public just because the Supreme Court made a decision that went against their beliefs.
The Supreme Court interprets the US Constitution and sometimes its decision favor one party over another party but that does not mean they are BIASED... it just means their interpretation is different.
AOC for instance wants to remove certain justices from the Supreme Court via the impeachment process because they did not agree with her. To do this would be a corruption of POWER. It is this corruption of POWER that will destroy DEMOCRACY not the opinions of politicians or the President.

November Election Worries and Concerns
Reflecting upon the debate between Biden and Trump the other night, while some say there was a clear winner, my thoughts were NEITHER CANDIDATE is suitable to be POTUS.
From the very beginning, I have been against Biden since he reversed everything that Trump had done just for SPITE. However, Trump had a difficult time articulating himself or providing the audience with what he would actually do.
However, it is true that the rest of the world would prefer dealing with the timid Biden as opposed to the unpredictable Trump. And while what happens on the global stage is important, I would think what happens at home is of more importance.
- We are a extremely divided country
- We have a sluggish economy brought about by inflation
- We have a military that is rapidly degrading
- We have 10-15 million illegal immigrants in our country
- We have enormous influx of illegal drugs in our country
- We have an alarming increase of crime and violence in many of our cities
- We have a piss poor education system in our country
- We have a racist problem in our country dealing with blacks and Jews and Hispanics
