The American People Want This...

I hear this phrase from both Democrats and Republicans and whenever I hear this phrase my first thoughts are BULLSHIT...  You, the politician do not really know what the American People want or don't want...

WHY?

Because you are well off financially and do not live like the American People live and therefore have no idea(s) what is going through their minds.

  1. Most of the American people want to work and they don't give a shit if those jobs come from Democrats or Republicans.
  2. Most of the American people want to make a survivable wage and they know those wages come from employers not politicians.
  3. Most of the American people want the Federal Government to leave them alone and allow them to live their life as best as they can given their financial situation.
  4. Most of the American people are fully aware that CONGRESS (both Democrats and Republicans) DOES NOTHING that will actually benefit them.
  5. Most of the American people don't trust politicians or the hollow promises they make during election time.
  6. Most of the American people don't give a damn about Black Lives Matter or give a shit if money is taken away from the police or not.
  7. Most of the American people didn't even realize that the statues being taken down represent the Civil War or Slavery nor do they care which side won the Civil War.
  8. Most of the American people realize that they will never be wealthy and try to make the most of what they have and not bitch about it.
  9. Most of the American people don't even realize that they have a problem with illegal drugs in their local school systems.
  10. Most of the American people don't listen or watch the NEWS because there is really never anything POSITIVE being conveyed.

OUT FOR BLOOD...

Americans are such a violent people so much so that when they speak of doing something that is not violent in nature, like cooking food, they explain it in violent terms and in so doing think nothing about they phrased themselves.

I was watching CHOPPED yesterday which is a food competition show and each once of the 4 contestants making a bid to be CHOPPED CHAMPION by defeating the other 3 with their ability to cook food, said that they were OUT FOR BLOOD...  as a way of letting the audience know how serious they were about winning.

What message does this send to our young?

Are these CHEFS really OUT FOR BLOOD?

KODACHROME and a High School Education

"When I think back on all the crap I learned in high school, it's a wonder I can think at all..."

Probably one of the greatest lyrics of all times...  and relates to education in the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's, and 20's...  sadly enough and will continue to be relevant for a long long time to come.

AMERICAN EDUCATION SUCKS if one does not plan on attending college because American Education is predicated on everyone going to college which is theoretically not possible because of American's various aptitudes and skills.

HIGH SCHOOL in addition to courses that prepare one for college should be teaching:
  • Carpentry
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Drafting and Design
  • Customer Service
  • Culinary Skills
  • Auto Mechanics
  • Personal Finances
  • Health and Hygiene
  • Defensive Driving Techniques
  • Budgeting and Planning
  • Shop Classes
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Animal husbandry
  • Back Yard Gardening
  • Survival Skills
HAVING A COLLEGE EDUCATION DOES NOT NECESSARILY MAKE ONE EDUCATED...

What Really PIsses Me Off About Technology

First of all, a big part of my problem is that I am frigging 72 years old and did not grow up with a cell phone or is it a smart phone in my hand 24/7 like the rug rats today.  So, once something is installed on your phone is remains there until you can get an technician at a phone store to remove it for you.

GOOGLE is notorious for this shit just was was Microsoft when they first got started making sure only certain items would work with their software...  and because of the hackers who were figuring out how to attach all the other devices, Microsoft just gave in and made it compatible with everything.

Now various software companies are playing these games...   especially Google who has so many additional apps to offer and they make it really easy to install them but try removing the sonofabitch and that is a different story all together.

There is one news feed in particular that is worrisome for me and that is called YOUR NEWS....  it takes up a page of your phone like a widget but it cannot be removed that way...   and it is or must be another app that isn't clearly labeled so that it can be easily removed.  I've got news feeds coming in from all over the world about which I do not give a damn and after some research managed to eventually turn off the pop up notifications that take place automatically when this damn thing is turned off.

Right now, I am going feed by feed and blocking it and after 20 or so, reboot my phone and block another 20...  and what is even more curious is that when you click on the menu to block there could be one or more items to block and if you don't block all, you will still get the feed.

My internet research does not coincide with what is on my home page so where they make it look simple, it still does not work because I cannot locate what it is that they are telling or showing me I am supposed to see...

TECHNOLOGY IN THIS CASE SUCKS DONKEY DICKS...

BTW - I don't have the Google News Icon so this news source called YOUR NEWS is coming from somewhere else!!!!!

Day by Day

After spending 6 days and 5 nights in the Hospital, needless to say, I am glad to be home while at the same time, my life will not be my own for the next 30 days as my wife will be administering an Antibiotic IV every 8 hours:  11 pm, 7 am, and 3 pm and receiving these antibiotics will continue to make me feel nauseous and fatigued, without hunger, and generally lousy.  When I eat, I pretty much force myself to eat and consequently make a point of not eating too much for fear of vomiting.  My calorie intake since I have been home has been on average about 1100 which should not be sustained too long.

Each day, I begin with an infusion and each day I end with an infusion, and in between those two I take 2-3 hour naps, each a little, watch a little TV, and maybe write a little bit on the computer that will later be posted on blogs.  I have every intention of walking more and more each day, but that never seems to make in on my dance card.

Our cats come by for a visit but not like they used to because I no longer have the energy to give anything other than minimal attention.  My political fervor has been subdued because I do not watch FOX NEWS in the mornings like I used to and when I do, none of the stories have any interest for me at all...   it is like none of this crap going on against Trump no longer makes any difference...  the only thing that matters is for me to get better and enjoy my life and politics is not going to ruin that for me.

QUIET: I'm dreaming...

In our house, especially when my wife is inside, there needs to be some kind of noise other than the noise make by the i-Robot cleaner like from the radio or from the television, even though she might me reading a book; whereas in contrast, I like QUIET...

I can sit for hours in complete QUIET and it does not matter if there is light or not because inside my mind, I am dreaming about something and while these dreams are different, they can revolve around the same basic concept like refurbishing a room in a house to reflect a room that is more in tune with my likes and dislikes.

Or, flying in a private jet around the world stopping only to refuel, stretch my legs, and look around wherever it is that we are.  I start at the nose of the airplane and custom design my private jet in my head, including seats, bathrooms, the galley, sleeping and eating areas.

My favorite dream is a 300 foot luxury yacht where the main owner's cabin is like well appointed luxury hotel in London, Paris, or New York with windows that encircle the compartment and being served a perfectly prepared "everything" omelet with a hot Starbuck's like French Cappuccino to wash it all down with as I gaze out over the Caribbean watching the cruise ships dock.

My thoughts are endless but unfortunately I am always alone.

Who Will Win the Debate?

So far, I have spent 5 days and 5 nights at UT Medical Center in Knoxville that was caught right in time because of a Staph Infection for which I will continue to be treated at home for another 2-3 weeks by a Home Health Nurse who will teach us how to administer daily infusions of a powerful antibiotic.

My doctor at UT has called on the Infectious Disease Department to spearhead my case because it falls inside their area of expertise...   and, the ID doctor wants an MRI before he releases me...  however, if I was set for am MRI, I would be released because I have reached that release thresh hold with all my lab work and daily tests.

My MRI cannot be scheduled until Monday so the debate underway is to release me and I come back for my MRI since the results of my MRI will only be used in my after I am released infusions or will the ID doctor stand by his claim of stating I can release you after I see the MRI.  Some of this decision I suppose is going to be determined by the INSURANCE Co. and if they want to pay to 8 days and 8 nights when treatment efficacy will still be maintained after 5 days and nights.

Meanwhile I remain in my hospital gown, drinking their coffee, awaiting their reply...

Just Push The Call Button if You Need Anything Mr. Hutchins

This is like saying, "I'm from the IRS and here to help you," or "Join the Navy and see the world,"

or what the highway patrolman says after giving you a moving violation, "Have a nice day," or a

relative who at the annual Christmas party says, "Let's do lunch."

Have you recently had an opportunity to just push the CALL BUTTON?  Well, I have and I always hear, "I'll let them know."   And, that's it...  yes, you do get a fairly quick answer to your just pushing the call button and if I as every asked a question on a survey as to how quickly were you answered once you just pushed the call button...  I would have to say really fast man...  but, what you need to be asking was how fast did a nurse come into your room...   and, that is predicated totally upon how you rank...  that is to say whether or not you are:
  • Urgent
  • Critical
  • Handicapped
  • Priority
  • Low Priority
  • About to be released
During my stay here University of Tennessee Hospital, I have been urgent, critical, and priority.  It all started 5 days ago when I went to the ER because the UTI meds were not bringing down a 103 degree temperature....   and expected to be given some additional meds and then sent back home in about 4 hours...   BUT...  I went into heart failure, kidney failure, and extremely low blood pressure that the specialists thought was coming from an unknown source and took precautions that it might be COVID.  However, my body responded quickly and perfectly so it was not COVID and was informed I was staying in the Hospital until they could identify the source and remove it from my body.  My infection was staph but they do not know the origin.

I spend a day in ICU where I continued to improve and given a room with a view on the 7th floor or heart floor where I will remain until being released.  I will probably be he here 7 or 8 days before I am released and it could be 10 days....   regardless of when,  I will be required to return to the Hospital on a daily basis to have an antibiotic administered via IV for 2 additional weeks.
