HONG KONG — Derided by concerned observers from Washington to Brussels, French President Emmanuel Macron’s recent trip to China did not go down well with allies. But he left his hosts feeling delighted.
Hundreds of cheering people were waiting to greet Macron when he arrived in the southern Chinese metropolis of Guangzhou this month, part of a high-profile state visit.
“He saw us and came right up to us and shook our hands who stood in the front row,” said Qiao Jiabao, a financial journalism student at Sun Yat-sen University, where Macron gave a speech. “I felt he was very gracious and proactive, even though we didn’t speak the same language,” Qiao told NBC News.
He said he and his friends joked that Macron, who has faced mass protests in France over his unpopular plan to raise the retirement age, had been treated so well in China that he might not want to go home.
When Macron returned to France, he faced another storm of criticism, this time over an interview in which he suggested that Europe should resist being drawn into a conflict over Taiwan and focus on “strategic autonomy” independent from both the United States and China. READ MORE...
Deferring to Liberals - AIN'T SMART
Defund the police is one of those FAILED POLICIES... in almost every major city where the police have been demonized and defunded... there has been a mass exodus of residents to other locations outside of those cities and in many cases outside of those states. Consequently, the local and state governments have less taxes to collect and less money to spend... NOT SMART
Allowing our southern borders to be completely open will, in time, create another set of problems that will not just be targeting the south. While immigrants will be taking many jobs that AMERICAN refuse to take, other issues will begin to surface like:
- an increasing number of slums
- an increasing number of crimes
- an increasing number of health issues since NO IMMIGRANTS are required to have shots
- a reduction of hospital supplies
- an increase in welfare expense
- an increase in illegal drugs
- an increase in child abuse and rape
- an increase in drivers without insurance
- an increase in immigrants going to public schools that don't speak English
- an increase in violence in K-12 between immigrants and Americans
NOT SMART
Liberals want to move from a Democratic Republic form of government to a Socialistic form of government where the conservative view points are censored from the public. Without two points of view government, then the USA will gravitate down towards a dictatorship type of government and/or communistic like North Korea, Russia, and China where MOST FREEDOMS ARE NON EXISTENT. If the liberal care anything at all about this country, they will soon realize that ALL OF OUR LEGAL IMMIGRANTS came to the USA to get away from the type of governments that the liberal want to create... NOT SMART
Going Green, Fighting Climate Change, and Ending Fossil Fuels is just plain ridiculous and reckless. The main countries in the world like: Russia, China, India, Africa, the Middle East, and Central and South American ARE NOT GIVING UP FOSSIL FUELS... it does not take a brain surgeon to see and realize what these other countries are doing. But, the liberal don't believe that and have convinced themselves that the world will follow their example... ANYBODY WHO BELIEVES THAT DESERVES TO GET THE BIG CHILI UP THE BROWN EYE... NOT SMART
The Liberals believe that all these social programs are going to be paid for by the WEALTHY... like George Soros, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, etc. Well... let me tell you something about that plan. Those wealthy people, first of all are not STUPID... so they have most of their taxable income hidden in off shore bank accounts in the Caymans. So, who do you think is going to pay all those taxes? That was a rhetorical question. If we don't get it from taxes, we either print up more money (diluting the value of the US Dollar and increasing inflation) or we borrow it from foreign countries... also will have negative consequences on our economy... NOT SMART

A new U.S. Navy warship appeared to collide with a tugboat during a "dramatic" launch of the vessel.
The U.S. Navy said on Friday that it would "christen and launch" the latest Freedom-variant LCS, or Littoral Combat Ship, which would be known as the U.S.S. Cleveland (LCS 31). The ship launched at 10 a.m. local time on Saturday at the Fincantieri Marinette Marine shipyard in Wisconsin. It was the last scheduled side launch of a ship at the Wisconsin shipyard before a ship lift system is put in place, according to the Navy.
In footage purportedly showing the event, the new LCS appears to collide with the tugboat that aided the launch. Amid cheers, the boats slowly take off, only for the U.S.S. Cleveland to immediately tilt to the side and send a wave crashing over the tugboat. It's unclear if the warship slammed into the tugboat, or if it was sent backward because of the force of the wave.
A U.S. Navy spokesperson told Newsweek that "during the launch of the future USS Cleveland (LCS 31) on April 15, 2023 at Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM) in Marinette, Wisconsin, unintentional contact occurred between the ship and a supporting tug." READ MORE...

AI Replaces US Jobs
The growing strength of artificial intelligence threatens millions of jobs, but if regulators stay away, the emerging tech may make society wealthier and more productive.
History has repeatedly shown the same result for other technological advances dating back to the Industrial Revolution, economist Peter St. Onge said.
"Throughout history, we've gone through tremendous technological revolutions. Generally, technologies kill jobs," St. Onge, with the Heritage Foundation, told Fox News Digital. "What happened? Well, you know, we had lots of new jobs. Almost nobody today works on a farm.
"This is sort of the way of the world," he added. The reason why you see technological improvements for any labor-involving function is in order to kill jobs - which is also known as saving work.
St. Onge pointed to the early 1800s, when most people worked on farms, and how the dawn of the mechanization of agriculture killed such employment as farmers turned to machines instead of hiring teams of laborers. READ MORE...
Not A Fan of Law Enforcement
I have heard reports for other law enforcement officers that cops break the law in order to catch criminals and put them in jail. To me that is an abuse of power. It also makes people dislike law enforcement, having less and less respect for those who wear the badge.
Yes, it is true that for every bad cop there is at least one good one, maybe two and while that helps, it does not solve the problem of police corruption.
I have been stopped for speeding several times and when I ask why me and not someone else who was driving beside me... the answer is always, you were the easiest one to catch. So, law enforcement alway lets others go free because they have managed to stop one. That is not fair.
They should all be stopped or none at all.
I have never been brutalized by a cop and while I am thankful for that, I can imagine, it would be a bad experience as the cops are likely taking out their anger on the one they are beating.
The more cops abuse their job and more the rest of us resent and disrespect them.
I was an instructor at a technical school where we taught Criminal Justice course. I met quite a few cops who had to take my classes. In class they are nice guys, friendly, and easy to talk with. But, I supposed on the job, they are not like that at all, as everyday could be their last day alive. It is a job that I would never want.
I am not necessarily happy or pleased with all the violence and crime that is taking place inside our big cities but I am not surprised by it at all. The people are tired of police mentalities and attitudes. As a whole, people out-number law enforcement and the only way the police can acquire the advantage is with other items like a water canon.
The blacks have taken it upon themselves to make it an issue it is between white cops and them... while that is admirable on their part, I think it is foolish. Cops are against everybody that fits the PROFILE. It has nothing to do with color. If you want to change the PROFILE, then blacks should stop commiting crimes.
As a white senior citizen, I perceive blacks as commiting more crimes than whites. I perceive blacks sell more illegal drugs than whites.
As a white senior citizen, I perceive that whites commit more white collar crimes than blacks which to me is far worse because it involves more money.
When I see Mexicans, I think of the Mexican Drug Cartels... whether they are members or not, in my mind, that is who they are. PROFILING...
US Dollar Abandoned
As the BRICS nations have made their opinion on the currency known, more countries are moving away from the US dollar as a reserve currency. Moreover, the collective has recently expressed its desire to diminish the prevalence of the greenback within international trade.
Now, various figures are speaking out on both sides of the development. Specifically, Donald Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to comment on the matter. Stating that the potential unseating of the US dollar’s dominance would be the “biggest defeat for our country in its history.”
As the BRICS nations have made their opinion on the currency known, more countries are moving away from the US dollar as a reserve currency. Moreover, the collective has recently expressed its desire to diminish the prevalence of the greenback within international trade.
