Future Warfighting with 6G Networks
With 5G broadband networks still being rolled out worldwide, the US and China are racing for supremacy in next-generation 6G, with significant implications for future warfighting.
An August report by the International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS) notes that China is following a centralized command model in applying 6G technology to military purposes. On the other side, the US is relying more on enabling lower levels of command and operators to take the initiative to make critical decisions.
The IISS report says that 6G technology may play a key role in China’s hypersonic weapons program, including in solving the current communication blackout at hypersonic speeds. READ MORE...
Florida's Use of COVID Funds
A watchdog group with the U.S. Treasury Department plans to examine whether Florida government properly used federal pandemic recovery money in connection to last month’s efforts to relocate migrants, a top official with the agency told the Massachusetts congressional delegation last week.
Ovewewr 50,000 Contaminated Sites in USA
Researchers have determined that the country is dotted with tens of thousands of locations that may be contaminated by PFAS, which are per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances—aka forever chemicals that do not disintegrate over time in nature or in the human body.
A new study published today in Environmental Science & Technology Letters estimates that there are over 50,000 PFAS-contaminated sites throughout the United States.

NATO Holding Nuclear Exercises
BRUSSELS (AP) — NATO will push ahead with long-planned nuclear exercises next week despite rising tensions over the war in Ukraine and President Vladimir Putin’s insistence that he is not bluffing about using all available means to defend Russian territory, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said Tuesday.
The exercise, dubbed “Steadfast Noon,” is held annually and usually runs for about one week. It involves fighter jets capable of carrying nuclear warheads but does not involve any live bombs. Conventional jets, and surveillance and refueling aircraft also routinely take part.
Fourteen of the 30 NATO member countries will be involved in the exercise, which was planned before Russia invaded Ukraine in February. The main part of the maneuvers would be held more than 1,000 kilometers (625 miles) from Russia, a NATO official said.
“It would send a very wrong signal if we suddenly now cancelled a routine, long-time planned exercise because of the war in Ukraine. That would be absolutely the wrong signal to send,” Stoltenberg told reporters on the eve of a meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels. READ MORE...
Nissan Pulls Out of Russia
The Nissan car manufacturer sold all of its assets in Russia to the Russian government for a single Euro on Tuesday.
Nissan is only the latest major company to flee Russia following Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine in February. The deal costs Nissan roughly $687 million, but the company believes it will not affect the earnings forecast for the fiscal year, according to Reuters.
Nissan's move comes months after the company cut business ties with Russia in March, suspending production at its plant in St. Petersburg. The company has roughly 2,000 employees in the country.
"On behalf of Nissan, I thank our Russian colleagues for their contribution to the business over many years," Nissan President and CEO Makoto Uchida said in a Tuesday statement. "While we cannot continue operating in the market, we have found the best possible solution to support our people." READ MORE...
Tulsi Gabbard Leaves Democratic Party
Former Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard announced she left the Democratic Party on Tuesday, denouncing the organization as an "elitist cabal."
Gabbard, who retired from the House of Representatives in 2021, attacked the institution in a nearly 30-minute video posted to her YouTube account. She did not announce plans to join the Republican Party or adopt any other political affiliation, however.
"I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism..."

Living With Health Issues
From the time I was born until age 59, and not including all the usual childhood illnesses that are encountered, I have never been sick, not even a cold or the flu but saw a family doctor twice a years just for shits and giggles.
From age 40-60, I walked 5 miles a day 7 days a week, never drank alcohol, never smoked, stopped eating red meat, fried foods, and sugars 95% of the time.
At age 60, I was first diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and then during that time suffered a serious heart attack where it was recommended that I have a triple bypass; however, I had 5 stents put in instead over a period of a year and 3 operations.
At 65, and in all probability, the treatment that I was receiving for my Lymphoma caused me to contract Melanoma on the bottom of my left foot, that spread to my groin, and then to my neck.
At age 74, I had L2-L3-L4-L5-S1 fused together that was part of growing old and would have been worse had I not been so damn healthy all my life. It has been over 4 months since the surgery and I am still learning how to walk normal again. I walk 1.5 miles each day in 33 minutes and take 1 day off.
Over the last 14 years, I have had over 150 infusions, 8 surgeries, 6 intensive radiation treatments, been hospitalized for a staph infection where I became septic and almost died, and have had to watch my physical health and strength gradually decline.
I turn 75 this month and figure that at the most, I only have 2 decades left to live. While that bothers me, I don't think about it... what I do think about, it what I am going to do today, maybe tomorrow, and check and see what appts that I might have the following week.
I try to argue with my wife or get too upset with Democratic politics... I am concerned about Russia and China and our Oil concerns, but there is really nothing I can do about them... it is time for a new generation to take over... and hope they will learn before it is too late to change their minds.
My big concern right now is that my Oncologist is just as old as I am, and one day soon he will retire and then what? His risk taking and standing by his experience saved my life as my cancers had gotten to the point where he said it was hard to stop them... but he did going against the wisdom of a younger team of doctors.
I have been blessed with a strong, sturdy body with strong bones, and a mind that is fixed but flexible and relatively intelligence with its awareness, understanding, retention, and knowledge. Good eyes, teeth, and hearing although all three are showing wear and tear.
I was never overweight except when I was 40 and 65 through the present... largely because of the steroids I took for 14 years, but if I can lose 10 more pounds then I am back to the weight for my age.
My diet of fish, chicken, beans, veges, and rice is keeping my heart and heart arteries at the repair age of 61. My cardiologest is impressed with those results and only needs to see me every 12 months instead of every 6 months.
I will continue to walk 1.5 miles a day in the mornings and in a couple of months will walk 1.5 miles in the afternoons for as long as I can... just because I can and because it is healthy to do so.
Discipline & Determination
I am the kind of person who says KISS MY ASS if you are trying to control me... and, I am also the kind of person who refuses to kiss the asses of bosses who try to get me to do their unethical bidding if I want to keep my job... consequently, I have been fired 10 times during my 45 year career... However, I am one of the best if not the best employee that you have ever had because of what I can accomplish... so, there is a price to be paid for losing me...
In 1987, when I was 40 years old and had smoked cigarettes for 25 years, I decided to quit COLD TURKEY... and, this is exactly what I did...
- no mental digressions
- no weaknesses to start again
- no alcohol substitutes
- This discipline and determination helped me find new jobs after mine were lost.
- This discipline and determination helped me build a new life in another state after my divorce.
- This discipline and determination helped me earn a BA and an MBA while married with a child and working 50+ hours each week.
- This discipline and determination helped me rebuild my life after a severe heart attack and after having 5 lumbar disks fused.
- This discipline and determination helped me mentally deal with fighting two kinds of cancers simultaneously for over 14 years.
- This discipline and determination has helped me saved (not invest) over a million dollars during my lifetime.
- This discipline and determination helps me write novels in retirement.
Retired and Writing Novels
In 2015 my wife and I retired... our first order of business was to travel but after 5 years, we grew tired of the lifestyle and she began to read and watch Kdramas while I began to write novels... to date I have written 7 of those little bad boys but one of them was partially destroyed online for some reason and has to be reconstructed which I am in the process of doing, once I edit the other 6...
Each of these novels is approximately 90,000 to 100,000+ words so they not been written in anykind of down and dirty fashion like poker. A couple of scifi, a couple are spies, a couple are business practices, and one is about the sexual escapades at a small southern, christian college.
Right now, I am considering publishing them on Amazon through KDP but have not made that final decision. Not sure what I am waiting for other than not wanting to get negative feedback I suppose.
Here they are:
1. Earth's Hidden Keys: Cosmic Priests break their vows - obviously scifi but keys were hidden among the 12 major religions and need to be found and assembled in order to save earth.
2. Holding On: a honeycomb of lies and deceit - is about a wealthy businessman trying to corner the honey bee market along with some other illegal practices and finally gets caught.
3. Beyond the Milky Way - scifi, earth has evolved and has colonized several planets in our solar system... a race of people from another dimension is planning to invade earth and the cosmic priest help defend humans from the predators.
4. Hunting the Scorpion Scarab - takes place in Cairo, Egypt at the American University where a CIA agent is posing as a college professor to try and catch the Scorpion Scarab is plans and conducts global terrorist activities.
5. Lost Creek Diaries - is about a small southern christian college and the prostitution ring that has been operating on campus since the civil war... it all falls apart when a diary is found.
6. Deception in Paris - a CIA spy story set in Paris and involves the Russians and Chinese who are stealing secrets from American companies. The CIA agent in charge had a car accident and was in a coma for 10 years and is not trying to piece together his past life. This is the one that needs to be reconstructed.
7. Mega Billionaires: controlling global resources - is about two group of global billionaires who are influencing drug trafficking, illegal immigration in the US, controlling and influence the news media and social media, as well as education and what the students read. The violence between these groups for control shows an impotent global law enforcement who cannot stop them.
I have 7 novels that I would consider to be works in process and another 12 that are just in title form with minimal plot developments.
Writing for me is not just a hobby but has become a fun activity and helps me pass the day.
BLM Founder Spends Thousands
The controversial Marxist co-founder of Black Lives Matter recently completed tens of thousands of dollars in renovations at her posh Los Angeles home, including building a new plunge pool and backyard sauna, according to a new report.
Patrisse Cullors, 39, the former leader of Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, also added a children’s play area for her young son outside her 2,580-square foot three-bedroom, three-bathroom home in Los Angeles’ Topanga Canyon neighborhood, photos show.
The images reveal a deep plunge pool that has yet to have water added, as well as a small shed that houses the sauna. A child’s swing set and covered slide is also visible in the photograph.
Cullors, who resigned from the national group a month after The Post revealed that she had gone on a real estate buying spree last year, paid $1.4 million for the Topanga Canyon home in March 2021, according to public records. READ MORE...
Heading For A Recession
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon on Monday warned that a “very, very serious” mix of headwinds was likely to tip both the U.S. and global economy into recession by the middle of next year.
Dimon, chief executive of the largest bank in the U.S., said the U.S. economy was “actually still doing well” at present and consumers were likely to be in better shape compared with the 2008 global financial crisis.
“But you can’t talk about the economy without talking about stuff in the future — and this is serious stuff,” Dimon told CNBC’s Julianna Tatelbaum on Monday at the JPM Techstars conference in London.
Among the indicators ringing alarm bells, Dimon cited the impact of runaway inflation, interest rates going up more than expected, the unknown effects of quantitative easing and Russia’s war in Ukraine.
“These are very, very serious things which I think are likely to push the U.S. and the world — I mean, Europe is already in recession — and they’re likely to put the U.S. in some kind of recession six to nine months from now,” Dimon said. READ MORE...
Not Just Abortion Says Bernie
With just four weeks to go until this year's midterm elections, independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont is urging the Democratic Party to discuss issues besides abortion rights.
In an op-ed published in The Guardian on Monday, the two-time Democratic presidential candidate made the case that while abortion remains an important issue — particularly in the wake of the Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v. Wade in June — the party risks letting Republican messages on the economy go unanswered.
"This is a fight that most Americans want us to wage and, given the Republicans' extremist position on the issue, makes them genuinely vulnerable," Sanders wrote of abortion rights, before declaring that he's "alarmed to hear the advice that many Democratic candidates are getting from establishment consultants and directors of well-funded Super Pacs that the closing argument of Democrats should focus only on abortion." Chillin' With Your BONG
Of course, it is referred to by many names but here in America it is called grass or pot or maryjane...
And, like alcohol it is only for those who have no discipline or self-control and want to zone out from reality and act like it's not there for a while... or, experience the buzz of a high... that does not last that long with long term use...
Most alcoholics cannot admit they are alcoholics... and yet, they need alcohol to socialize and be friendly and charming and impress all their guests who are also drinking alcohol in an effort to sustain their buzz...
Why has life become so difficult to live that we need alcohol to make sense of it all and accept our self-imposed realities???
Alcohol for many of us started in high school because we were told not to drink alcohol. For some of us it began in college as a way to impress the females and belong to a group of males in a club who drink alcohol as if it were some kind of sport. For others, it was at the end of day at work, to unwind from the stress of it all... leaving the wife and children at home to wonder when you were going to return.
Gradually, drugs replaced or supplemented alcohol and soon our clever souls were consuming both and we had all sorts of friends around us doing the same... it was one big party... we were successful... financially well off... and had this great job that provided us with an enormous amount of stress that needed to be dissipated once in a while.
Drugs and alcohol WORKED... and we became hooked on the concept but not addicted... we were too careful for that... but, our minds kept us involved as it became the THING TO DO...
Kiss Your Asses Goodbye
How well do you want to live?
Do you want to own a car?
Do you want to own a home?
Do you want to take vacations?
Do you want to have children?
Do you want to be debt free?
Answers to all of these questions require earning money... and, you will never have all of these just receiving welfare from the government. You must work. And, while working may seem abhorent to you, it is a fact of life with which most of us are involved... unless idenpendently wealthy or sell illegal drugs to the wealthy.
COVID kept most of us home and rather than blame CHINA and do something about it, we wanted more of this doing nothing as we rather enjoyed it.
But when goods and services are not produced prices increase and it costs us more to live and our free money from the government does not last as long as it used to... SO... blame yourselves for some of this inflation because you deserve it... the blame not the money.
One of the issues that LAZINESS fails to address is the small fact of life that CHINA wants to control the USA and they want to do this economically and militarily and as long as we continue to do what we are doing, they are going to accomplish their goals.
So, what you don't see and what you don't believe will ever happen because you believe others will defend and save you, could one day be a reality especially when there is not enough of the others to do what you hope they will do...
THEN GUESS WHAT? It's too frigging late... YOU LOOSE... and, you must learn to speak Mandarin because there will be no handouts from the Chinese like there were with the Americans... they don't play that game...
And you my lazy friends are SOL...

COVID and Illegal Immigration
My wife and I have received both our COVID shots and both boosters and are waiting for the 3rd booster to come online so we can get that one too.
We understand the natural immunity thing that people have once they have contracted COVID and survived... but, we don't understand why people don't want to get the shot because of what it puts into your body.
COVID shots are no different than flu shots, pheumonia shot, shingles shot, or any other shot that prevents contracting a serious disease.
Neither can we understand why this administration is doing absolutely nothing about stopping the illegal immigration when it is entirely possible that these illegal immigrants have had NO COVID SHOTS at all...
...in short, these illegal immigrants could re-infect Americans all over again and/or bring into this country a variation that has not yet been identified or even considered.
Illegal immigrants could pose a serious health risk to Americans and WE ARE DOING NOTHING...
That ain't too smart JOE...
Financially Destroying Trump Finally
Michael Cohen (above), once former President Donald Trump's attorney and fixer, said that New York Attorney General Letitia James' massive fraud lawsuit will "financially destroy" his old boss and may ultimately lead to him going to prison.
James filed a sweeping civil suit against Trump, his business, and his three eldest children in September. She seeks to permanently bar the Trumps from conducting business in New York and pursuing at least $250 million in damages.
In an in-depth interview with Salon magazine before releasing his second book "Revenge," Cohen said: "Right now, that case will financially destroy him."
He added that the penalties could exceed the $250 million baseline. READ MORE...
