2030-2050 represents the passage of two decades, 240 months, or 7300 days. You will age, if you are twenty to age forty, or to age sixty if you are forty, or to age eighty if you are sixty.
It does not seem like much time, if you are twenty but does seem like a lot of time if you are sixty. So, we can comfortably say, it's all relative.
What could possibly change in twenty years given our past history of rapid change?
- We could have colonies on planets
- We could have flying vehicles
- We could have robots doing all the work
- We could have an end to illness
- We could have an extended life span
- We could have an end to wars
None of us know for sure what we will actually encounter but one thing is certain, life will be dramatically different than it is today.
QUESTION: Will that difference be positive or negative?
We assume all change is positive but that does not mean it will be.
- The USA could be owned by China
- The USA could have turned into a third world country
- The USA could no longer be a democracy
- The USA may no longer have a constitution
- The USA could just be a country where the world puts its criminals
Are you and I in any kind of a position where we can influence the direction in which our country moves?
