Sports Betting Used to Pay Off Student Loans

In a desperate bid to pay off student loan debt, Gen Z college students have now turned to sports betting - despite many having little to no success.

As loan payments are due once again and the legalization of sports betting increases, young adults are now more willing to risk their money in hopes of striking gold.

In true Gen-Z style, they are now also documenting their entire betting process on social media in a 'joking' tone.

Megan Ortwein, a young TikToker has built her entire page on sports betting and once shared a 'joking' video of her relying on her projected wins to pay rent.

But Ortwein isn't the only young adults to go down the sports betting path.

Data from CivicScience shows about one-in-three US adults saying they have bet on sports games, rising to 47 percent among Millennials and 58 percent among Gen Z adults.     READ MORE...

Inflation Wipes Out Retirement Savings

Inflation has taken an average of 25 percent - at least $2.1trillion - off the 401Ks of American workers, despite President Joe Biden's insistence Sunday that the 'economy is strong as hell.'

The analysis was done by conservative economists Stephen Moore and EJ Antoni, who said that the balance of Americans' 401ks will 'ruin your whole day, week and month.'

Moore and Antoni note that inflation has been going at 8 percent for the past seven months, despite the White House claiming things were temporary.  READ MORE...

Hunter Biden Helps Chinese

An investment firm founded by Hunter Biden assisted a Chinese company in purchasing one of the world's richest cobalt mines from an American company for $3.8 billion - helping the conglomerate gain a massive share of the key metal used to make electric car batteries.

The president's son was one of three Americans who joined Chinese partners in establishing the Bohai Harvest RST Equity Investment Fund Management Company, or BHR, in 2013.

The Americans controlled 30 percent of the company and made successful investments that culminated in aiding China Molybdenum purchase the Tenke Fungurume cobalt mine in the Congo from the American company Freeport-McMoRan in 2016, the New York Times reported.

The news comes after President Joe Biden had warned that China could use its dominance of mined cobalt to disrupt America's development of electric vehicles.

It also adds to the scrutiny Biden and his father have faced for his dealings with Chines and Ukrainian companies while Joe was vice president and later running for president.  READ MORE...

The Einstein Ring

The Hubble Space Telescope captured a stunning ‘Einstein Ring’ 3.4 billion light-years from Earth.

This cosmic display, formally known as gravitational lensing, occurs when the gravitational field from a massive object in space warps space and deflects light from a distant object behind it.

It then results in a bull’s-eye pattern, or ‘Einstein Ring.’ It was predicted by the famed physicist, Albert Einstein, in 1915.

The image shows six luminous spots of light clustered at the center, four of which are forming a circle around a central pair.

The formation, however, only consists of two galaxies and a single distant quasar that is magnified as it passes through the gravitational field of the galaxies.

The quasar, known as 2M1310-1714, sits farther away from Earth than the pair of galaxies.

A quasar is the extremely bright nucleus of an active galaxy and its powerful glow is created by the incredible amounts of energy released by gas falling toward the supermassive black hole at its center.   READ MORE
