Buyers Regret Buying EVs

A LUXURY vehicle dealer has shared numerous reasons that car buyers sometimes regret buying electric automobiles.

The YouTube creator revealed drawbacks that he's recognized in the development of various brands of EVs and also noted some of the reasons the cars are seen as the vehicles of the future.

He mentioned issues with Tesla's charging stations like how long they have to sit plugged in

On his account, Mark Holubetz (@ECPP) said he posts content with the goal of teaching his subscribers of over 200,000 YouTubers "everything about premium, luxury, and exotic cars."

"There are a lot of reasons to buy an electric car, but there are also many reasons not to," captioned a recent video.

"When you compare electric [versus] petrol or ICE cars (internal combustion engine) then you might think you're getting a big improvement when you go electric, but you might just regret buying that car."

"Many people believe electric cars are the future," he said in the clip while walking around a dealership lot.    READ MORE...

Problems with Electric Cars

DRIVERS have been issued an urgent warning regarding serious problems with electric cars despite their soaring popularity.

Electric vehicle technology is improving at a rapid pace, with a wider choice of cars and advancements in overall range, battery efficiency and public charging availability.

It's seen sales of electric cars become increasingly popular across the globe.

The latest figures released by the International Energy Agency (IEA) suggest almost one-in-five new cars sold worldwide this year will be either full battery electric or plug-in hybrid models.

In total, 14 million EVs are expected to be sold this year, up from around a million in 2017.

But although electrification of the global vehicle fleet brings less pollution, there is also cause for concern.

EV's are by no means perfect and there are some issues which appear to be putting a real dampener on increasing sales, reports NewScientist.

SUVs have been growing in popularity in recent years, accounting for 42 per cent of all car sales in 2020.

And electric SUVs have also gained ground, representing roughly 35 per cent of electric passenger car sales in 2022.

Christian Brand at the University of Oxford has labelled trend towards larger cars a “mobesity” epidemic.  READ MORE...

Triple Decker Aircraft

WITH a huge bulbous cabin, massive sweeping wings and enough space for 755 passengers - it's clear to see why this concept plane is dubbed the "Sky Whale".

Boarding the aircraft ahead of a long haul flight, you would find three huge decks with up to five rows of seats - including a lavish top floor business class complete with "sky view" roof windows.

And when it comes time to take off, long gone are the days of waiting to taxi down the long runways at airports like Gatwick and Heathrow.

Instead, the enormous AWWA Sky Whale lumbers itself into position before its massive engines pivot at a 45 degree angle like a Harrier jump jet fighter plane.

It then begins to move and the swivelled engines boost forward, allowing the mammoth machine to take off at a near vertical climb.

And this incredible feature allows to Sky Whale to not be restricted to big airports, with it only need enough space for its 288 foot wingspan and 252 foot length.  READ MORE...

Never Do This When Mowing Your Yard

A GARDENING expert has revealed the biggest mistakes you can do when mowing the lawn - and one could even encourage the growth of weeds and moss.

With the UK having experienced a sizzling hot Spanish summer and a few heatwaves with temperatures reaching 40.3C, it might be tempting to mow the dry grass to achieve a more neat-looking garden.

However, a gardening expert has warned fellow enthusiasts to resist the temptation to give your lawn a trim during ''dry spells''.

Speaking to The Express, Kate Turner, a gardening expert from Miracle-Gro, revealed the most common mistakes and the ''worst thing to do'' when it comes to mowing.

“The most important thing is, if you’re mowing, raise your mower blades so they’re up high.

“Also, if we’ve got dry spells like we’ve got at the moment, I’d stop mowing.

“Lift your mower blades up. The worst thing you can do is scalp your lawn because it looks horrible.

“That encourages weeds and moss to grow in your lawn.

“And don’t leave it for months and then give it a really good mow.

“Have a regular mowing routine and that just helps it thicken up.”  READ MORE...
