Seniors Traveling

My wife and I have been traveling together for over 30 years, before that we were married to other people and did not travel as much.

We have traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Europe, all over the lower 48, and taken over 12 cruises on four different cruise lines:

  • Royal Caribbean
  • Carnival
  • Celebrity
  • Norwegian
We prefer Royal Caribbean...

We have an American Express Delta credit card that we use as often as possible to generate frequent flyer points.  Currently, we have over 300,000 points.

When you are planning to fly, book reservations early in the day and make sure you have no deadlines on the other end of the flight.   Occasionally, airlines will overbook and ask for people to delay their flight.  The one time that we did that, we ended up with enough Delta Dollars to buy two round trip tickets (cabin class) to Hawaii.  We did this because we had to time constraints about getting to where we were going.

More advice in subsequent postings.

Stay tuned...
