Term Limits

 

There are certain positions in our government where employment is guaranteed for a lifetime like Supreme Court Justices and other Judges, then there are positions where the term in limited but they can be re-elected as often as the voters want them there, then there is the position of President or POTUS where there can only be two four-year terms.

Additionally, there IS NOT LIMITS ON AGE of elected politicians.

Let me take AGE first...

It is my belief that if full retirement age currently is 67, then NO ELECTED OR APPOINTED official should be eligible to serve this country past age 67.

Sometimes, old people have the benefit of experience and wisdom and sometimes these old people CLING to old, preconceived ideas and stand in the way of CHANGE.

From 1960-2024, the same problems that we had in 1960 are still present in 2024 and it is because politicians focus more on re-election than they do on what is right for Americans.  

Also, when you check public records, you will discover that most of these politicians have somehow, become multi-millionaires.

How did this happen?

Term limits, like POTUS, should be immediately set into motion by CONGRESS...

However, what are the odds that CONGRESS will pass any laws that limits their terms for the benefit of the USA???
