AI Controlled Aircraft

The X-62A VISTA aircraft, an experimental AI-enabled Air Force F-16 fighter jet, takes off on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. The flight, with Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall riding in the front seat, is serving as a public statement of confidence in the future role of AI in air combat. U.S. Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall rode in the cockpit of a fighter jet on Friday, which flew over the desert in California and was controlled by artificial intelligence.

Last month, Kendall announced his plans to fly in an AI-controlled F-16 to the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee’s defense panel, while speaking about the future of air warfare being dependent on autonomously operated drones.

On Friday, the senior Air Force leader followed through with his plans, making what could be one of the biggest advances in military aviation since stealth planes were introduced in the early 1990s.      READ MORE...

A Better SIRI is Coming

It would be easy to think that Apple is late to the game on AI. Since late 2022, when ChatGPT took the world by storm, most of Apple’s competitors have fallen over themselves to catch up. While Apple has certainly talked about AI and even released some products with AI in mind, it seemed to be dipping a toe in rather than diving in headfirst.

But over the last few months, rumors and reports have suggested that Apple has, in fact, just been biding its time, waiting to make its move. There have been reports in recent weeks that Apple is talking to both OpenAI and Google about powering some of its AI features, and the company has also been working on its own model, called Ajax.        READ MORE...

Our New Society

Sometime between 2030 and 2050, not only with the USA change but the entire world is going to change.  This change will be dramatic and will be sustaining until the next big change comes along.

What is behind this change?

Technology...

More specifically, humanoid robots with artificial intelligence...

Robots will change:

  • the way we work
  • the way we live
  • our transportation
  • our safety and security
  • our healthcare
  • our education

Our military and the way we fight wars, if there are any wars, will be accomplished by robots.

Robots will be our doctors, teachers, drivers, and the workers in our factories.

Robots will drive our trains, pilot our aircraft, and our spacecraft.

Robots will build our colonies on Mars and other planets.

Sometime after 2030, there will be no more wars because there will be no need of wars.  The world will belong to its inhabitants, not to countries and their leaders.  All religions will be seen as historical myths that provided us with nice stories, lessons, and truths about the way we should live and treat each other.

All illegal drugs will be controlled by a world government so that anyone who wants to try can have the high without the fear of addiction or going into debt as EVERYTHING WILL BE FREE.

There will be no more Democracies, no more Dictatorships, no more Communism or Socialism - there will be one world government that represents everyone.

Robots will build robots, repair robots, update programs for robots, write and install algorithms, and perform the research to make robots even better than they were before.

There will be a group of people that want to live on earth, a group of people that want to live on Mars o other planets, and there will be a group of people that want to explore the VAST UNIVERSE.

THE ONLY OBSTACLE TO THIS TYPE OF GROWTH IN THE USA IS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY THAT WANTS TO PERPETUATE CAPITALISM...

Capitalism NO LONGER works for us.  It was great from WWI until the present time to build and rebuild the world, but its time has expired.

We don't need millionaires and billionaires to push us forward anymore.  We just need our government to provide for everything so that NO ONE is really anymore wealthy than someone else.  Everyone gets what they need to survive and live a quality of life.  If you want more, you give more but even that has its limits.

Faberge Eggs

During the Easter celebrations of 1887, Russian emperor Alexander III presented his wife Marie Feodorovna with a jewel-covered Easter egg containing a ruby pendant.

The egg, designed by the renowned jeweler Peter Carl Fabergé, was such a success with the imperial family that Fabergé went on to produce dozens more. By the turn of the century, his creation had become a symbol of Russian autocracy itself.

That same period also saw various revolutionary groups struggling to overthrow that autocracy. When one of these groups, Vladimir Lenin’s Bolsheviks, took over the country in 1917, most of the Romanovs’ gold, jewels, and other treasure was confiscated and placed inside the Kremlin Armory.

Although Lenin had authorized the doing away of the czar and his family, his appreciation for fine art prevented him from pawning or destroying their inheritance.   READ MORE...

A Remarkable New Thruster

The history of space travel is filled with impressive sizzle reels of fire-breathing chemical engines launching monumental rockets skyward toward the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

While these massive devices are marvels of human engineering, the real workhorses of the space industry are the immensely less-gargantuan ion thrusters.

These engines are as old as rocketry itself—Soviet and German rocket leaders first dreamed up their future uses more than a century ago. And today, these electric propulsion systems power the swarms of satellites around Earth that make modern life possible.

Unlike chemical rockets that throw out gasses for propulsion, ion engines are powered by individual atoms, which makes them much more fuel efficient and allows satellites to operate for longer.     READ MORE...

Investments

When an individual or a company try to sell you something whether it is life insurance or an investment, the opportunity NEVER executed to YOUR BENEFIT.

The posting is about investments, so I'll leave life insurance for another day.

About twenty-five years ago, I learned about the RULE OF 72...  this rules states that if you take the prevailing interest rate and divide that number into 72, the answer will approximate the number of years it takes for you money to double when invested at that rate.

Ten to Twelve percent are relatively good numbers to work with since over the lifetime of the stock market, the average rate of return has been between 10-12%.

72 divided by 12 is 6

72 divided by 10 is 7.2

So, if your money is invested in an account that generates a rate of return of 10-12%, then your money will double in about 6-7 years.

Large Investment Companies and Banks understand this RULE...   the money they get from you is invested in these accounts and to show their appreciation, they give you/us an ROI of between 3-5%...   5% is offered, if we are lucky.

If you have $500,000 in the bank and it is invested in a CD that is paying you interest at a rate of 5%, then you are earning about $2,000 each month.

Sure, you can generate a higher return if you play around in the stock market but you can also lose BIG TIME as well... and many investment houses charge a management fee of $1,500/year to manage your money...  on top of the extra interest, they are earning because of the Rule of 72.

Just because they are earning more than you are earning does not mean that you should not invest...  just make sure that you understand ALL THE FEES that you will be paying.

It is entirely possible that you can guarantee yourself an ROI of 5% depending upon HOW MUCH you have to invest and HOW LONG you are willing to invest it.

Don't play the stock market...  it is nothing more than a CASINO...

However, check out MUTUAL FUNDS as a possible place to invest your money and make sure that your ROI CANNOT go below 5%.

Underwater Cave with No Bottom

A team of researchers has identified the deepesthttps://futurism.com/the-byte/scientists-underwater-sinkhole-blue-hole-bottom known sinkhole on Earth — so deep that they have yet to reach its bottom.

The video player is currently playing an ad. You can skip the ad in 5 sec with a mouse or keyboard

The Taam Ja' Blue Hole (TJBH), which is located underwater, off the coast near the border between Mexico and Belize, was once thought to be the second-deepest of its kind, as CBS News reports.

But according to a new paper published in the journal Frontiers in Marine Science, the site may be far deeper than previously thought, extending at the very least to a daunting 1,380 feet below sea level, making it the deepest known blue hole on Earth.

To put that number in perspective, the deepest known point on Earth is called Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench, which is around seven miles (36,000 feet) deep. The TJBH, however, is located a mere two miles off the shore of Mexico, while the Challenger Deep is almost 200 miles from Guam, an extremely remote island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.   READ MORE...

Politics in the USA is BUSLLSHIT

I was raised by parents who were southern born and who faithfully believed in the Democratic Party...  I never really discussed with them why they believed that, but I sorta got the feeling that they considered themselves well off financially and wanted to help people who were not well off financially - the Democratic Party was their solution.

In the 1960s, I was a Kennedy Democrat and supported the Democratic Party until I went to Grad School and earned my MBA.  My focus shifted towards the conservative form of government, but I never considered myself a Republican and still don't.  I also don't consider myself a Democratic either.

I am a LIBERAL CONSERVATIVE who believes in:

  • Abortion
  • Small government
  • Low taxes
  • Strong military
  • All freedoms
  • Balanced budget
  • No Debt
  • Capitalism

I fully understand the pitfalls of capitalism and believe that the positive side outweighs the negative side.

HOWEVER, after living 75 years in the US of A, I am TOTALLY AGAINST ALL POLITICIANS...
  • Politicians lie
  • Politicians take brides from lobbyist
  • Politicians only care about re-election
  • Politicians always benefit financially
  • Politicians accomplish very little for the people

Of the two political parties, the Republicans is the party that does the least.

Of the two political parties, the Democrats is the party that is obsessed with POWER.

I am more against the Democrats than the Republicans because I firmly believe that this party is taking the USA into SOCIALISM as fast as it can.  I also believe that the Democrats want to silence their opposition, so that they ultimately have no opposition.  I have no doubt that will all the illegal immigration coming into this country that the Democrats want to turn the USA into a THIRD WORLD COUNTRY which will reinforce their power over the weak minded.

Trump is blocking this transformation, but it will happen anyway...  if not in 2024 then in 2028...

If you look at the students on college campuses, those are the future leaders of the Democratic Party...  and, it is not just a few campuses but all of them...  Most college students are USA born citizens and are showing the government that they HATE THE USA.

Future leaders HATE THE USA...
Will they change their minds as they get older?
Probably not.
The USA is changing.
The USA is moving away from being a Democratic Republic.
Most Americans it seems, don't believe or no longer believe in the US Constitution.
This is the foundation that will destroy US POLITICS FOREVER.
The USA will become just like every other country in the world.
ONLY POWER WILL RULE...
